  • Have you had any warns (If so state them)?
  • Negative
  • Have you had any bans (If so state them)?
  • Have you had any similar positions (Staff, PAC3, Developer) on other servers? If so, please list them:
I have served as moderators three SWRP servers (a long time ago):
    - Imperial Gaming (Stepped down due to personal reasons) x2
    - Atlas Gaming (Shut down)
    - Fade Gaming (Shut down)

I have also served as a moderator on a TTT server:
    - FatLords Gaming
  • Why should you be given this position over others?:
  • I believe that a moderator's main job is similar to that of a Stormtrooper. Their job is to take the front lines and deal with matters that more experienced and or important members should not have to, something which I have done and am ready to continue to do. Petty indifferences and RDM cases being a couple of the many examples of tickets I have dealt with in the past and managed to resolve efficiently and to procedure comes to show that I have the knowledge and training to uphold the position I am applying for. The job is to do what they can to ensure that management and admins are able to do things that require more qualified hands. At the same time, a moderator I believe the closest thing the staff has to connect the player base of users and staff, in the sense that they are similar to NCOs within a regiment. They interact more with the general population of the server doing what they can to entertain and create a more enjoyable environment first hand (Not saying that the higher-ups don't interact but it's not uncommon for someone of a higher qualification to be busy doing developer stuff or dealing with a more serious staff situation). I personally believe that If I am recruited back onto the team that I will be able to start where I left off, with all my previous training and continue to work for the server diligently and effectively.

  • Why are you applying for this position?:
I have returned to the community during lockdown and greatly enjoyed my experiences so far. Members of the community, old and new have made me feel comfortable and at home once again. I left previously due to personal reasons, needing some time off which at the time I was in no position to estimate the length. I greatly enjoyed and cherished my time as a member of the Imperial Gaming staff team and it would be my honour if I was given the opportunity to once again serve on the staff team.

  • Why should you be trusted with this position? and do you believe others think of you with the same perspective?:
  • As I have served on the staff team more than once I believe that I can bring my past experiences and a friendly face. I hope that I myself can bring an aura or maturity and professionalism. I like to think that I am responsible and trustworthy and I believe I have proven that in my past experiences as a member of the Imperial Gaming staff team. The mistakes I have made in the past, I have learnt from and come forth a better asset. I hope to continue to diligently take and solve claims as I tried to in the past and to ensure I am doing all I can to keep the playerbase happy. My aim is that as a moderator I can help bring as much enjoyment and fun to the server whilst still keeping it as respectable as I can in my power. I still work from home but it makes it much easier for me to find time to hop on the server and clock active hours. I believe that at the moment I am viewed as an active member of a regiment that not many look up to but rather look down on, I hope that my hard work alonside my colleagues has proven that I can be trusted with a position such as a staff role.

  • You see a civilian killing others without an obvious roleplay reasoning behind it, what do you do?:
  • I would first wait and see if the victim reports the killing as RDM. If they do I will go through the necessary proccess and issue them a warn. If no ticket is placed then I will approach the victim and ask them personally what happened and if they wish to follow up on it. If they reply no or have a valid explanation I will leave it but keep an eye on the perpetrator for a while. If the victim says yes then I would make it a sit, I would collect the story from the victim then talk to the perpetrator, from there I would issue a physical or verbal warn, or a harsher punishement based on previous offenses.

  • Someone Mass RDM’s and disconnects from the server. What do you do?
I myself would first go through the damage logs and then grab the offender's steamID. I would then take down the names of witnesses or victims and bring them one by one to ask for their POV and record it, as I do not believe in solely trusting logs. Once I have gained sufficient evidence I would take the appropriate action whether that be to ban or warn the person. Depending on their past offences or other reports of minging, nitrp etc. I would determine whether or not a higher ranked member of staff would be required to extend a given ban.

  • A user has been given tools for training. You soon discover they are using the tools to prop kill and prop block. What course of action do you take?:
  • I would automatically organize a sit and have a conversation with the user asking what was going on. I would have the logs prepared with the killfeed and spawned props and inform the user that misuse of the tools is grounds for a warn. I would then issue the warn and send them back without their tools.

  • Someone is bullying another member of the community. What do you do?
I would treat this very discreetly, I would once again take down the names of the offenders and the victim. I would bring them all separately and get their POV and record them. I would talk to the Victim about what the offenders said and then possibly bring in another staff member for a second opinion as there could be respectable players involved. (this does not mean I condone their behavior because they are popular but more because it could backfire if a step is skipped.) I would then issue warnings and possibly bans but I would do what I can to ensure that the Victim feels as justified as possible in this matter.

  • A player enters the servers and begins to make racial slurs. What do you do?:
  • I would instantly ban the player for the maximum amount of time I am allowed at my rank, then I would contact a senior moderator and request for them to perma ban the player.

  • You see a higher ranking staff member abuse their powers. What do you do?
This is a very serious situation. I have heard stories of whistleblowers being downtrodden which in my eyes is childish and unacceptable. I would do what I can to get witness accounts and if possible recordings of these power abuses. I would then take all that I have straight to management and let them make the disciplinary decision. I would not approach the offender as I do not believe anything would come of it.

  • Someone threatens to DDOS the server. what do you do?
I would immediately contact management. I would then find their information and ban their steamID for an extended period of time. I would also make sure to look out for any account connecting from the same IP to ensure they do not get the opportunity to rejoin on an alternate account. I would make sure I gain as much evidence as I can as this is an extremely serious threat that threatens illegally sharing people's personal details online for the world to see. I would then take any evidence I have to whoever is able to accept it and then allow them to make the final call in the matter.

NOTE: Yes I have reused answers from my application made last year. I have seen in the past people be scrutinized for copying old applications. My decision in doing so is not due to a characteristic of laziness, but that I stand by the answers that have remained unchanged and do not believe they could be said any differently from my perspective. If this still remains an issue to you, please let me know in your response and I am sure I can give a satisfactory response.

I, Chrissy, agree to the terms stated above and accept that if my application is successful, I am henceforth a representative of Imperial Gaming and will act maturely and responsibly. I accept and will respect the powers that are given unto me with my position. I will only use the power given to me to enhance the experience of the members of the community. I accept that any abuse of these privileges comes with the risk of termination from the staff team. I accept that I may be demoted at any given time without prior warning or valid reason. I, the applicant, am well aware of the server rules and to the best of my ability will uphold and enforce these rules.
