Why should you be given this position over others?:

I don’t believe I should be picked above anybody else; I do believe everybody has an equal chance that does apply for this position but I do believe that I have certain qualities that do help me fit into this role certain qualities like being able to keep a calm head in stressful situation, to be able to listen to both sides of a story, hence this is why I believe I should have this position.

Why should you be trusted with this position? and do you believe others think of you with the same perspective?:

I believe I should be trusted for this position as I'm able to listen to both sides even if its a stressful situation, I'm also trustworthy person and strive to always improve and willing to learn new things and also bring in a positive energy to the community, hence this is why I think I should be trusted for this position and hopefully others would think the same.

Why are you applying for this position?:

The reason for me applying for Trial Moderator is to help players to the very best of my abilities to solve their problems and issues that they are facing so that they can have a fun time and have a great experience on the server.

Moderator Reasoning Questions

You see a civilian killing others without an obvious roleplay reasoning behind it, what do you do?:

I would interact with the civilian and ask in RP to get an understanding on why he decided to kill the individual and if his reason for killing the individuals aren’t valid or doesn’t sound right, I would immediately go to the individual that was killed or witnesses that saw it happen and gather information whether if the kill was valid, if it’s not valid I would bring that civilian into an admin sit and immediately explain the findings I have gather and either warn or ban him depending on the situation, previous warns and removed him from the role.

Someone Mass RDM’s and disconnects from the server. What do you do?

My first course of action would be to obtain the player SteamID, then tp to the victims of the incident or chat in OOC to clarify whether if it’s a Mass RDM case, using the SteamID that I have taken I would issue a warn to the Mass RDM player. I would also inform high-ranking staff that have experience in this situation about the incident and ask for advice for proper, suitable punishment or ban time for the offender.

A user has been given tools for training. You soon discover they are using the tools to prop kill and prop block. What course of action do you take?:

Firstly, I would tp to that individual that is prop killing and prop blocking and would strip him of his tools. I then would tp him to a different location to conduct a sit and check if that individual has any previous warns that could have led to that situation, if they do have past warns where they have abuse tools I would speak to any higher ups that are on to see what type of proper punishment should be handed out, if the individual doesn’t have any warn and bans regarding tool abuse I would hand out a warn.

Someone is bullying another member of the community. What do you do?:

I would first tp the victim to a safer and quiet location far from any players and ask him the events that lead up to him being bullied by the person. Once the victim finished explaining his version of events, I would try to gather as much evidence from the victim (screenshot, videos, witnesses, message). From then I would tp the accuse bully to the sit and present the evidence I have gathered to him to answer and explain his version of events. If it’s true that the bully is bullying the victim, I then would grab his SteamID and proceed to warn him for bullying and disrespect and would also explain to him that bullying is not tolerated in Imperial Gaming and if caught doing it again punishments would be given out. I then would go back to the victim and give feedback to him about the outcome to reassure him.

A player enters the servers and begins to make racial slurs. What do you do?:

I would immediately pull him away and tell him that racism is not tolerant and it's against server rules. I would then warn him and observe his behaviour if it continues the individual would receive a ban depending on how many rules that he has broke.

Someone threatens to DDOS the server. What do you do?

I would gather as much information as I can against the individual by using recording software or screenshots. I would then check how many warns or offences committed by the individual to check if the person has a past history of doing this to the server or breaking server rules. I would then ban that person permeantly if I have such authority or inform high-ranking staff members/ management about the situation. I would then keep all the evidence that I have gathered to supply to management if that individual does decide to appeal his ban.

You see a higher ranking staff member abuse their powers. What do you do?
 

 I would immediately take a screenshot or use recording software to record the staff member. I would then proceed to hand over the evidence I have to management so they can investigate the incident further. 

 

Terms of Application

1. Application bumps are viable after a total of 7 days following the last bump/post. If the application is bumped prior to the minimum amount of days it is liable for denial.
2. Any member of the community is allowed to provide feedback by posting a “+1” or “-1” and can present evidence to support their vote. 
3. Advertisement of applications in any form, including but not limited to, in or out of character chat, discord, forum chatbox and teamspeak, will lead to an immediate termination and denial of the application.
4. Failing to answer questions will lead to the termination and denial of the application.
5. False information will lead to the termination and denial of the application.
6. Failing to meet the minimum requirements laid out by the template will lead to either the application being placed on a temporary hold until requirements are met, or it will be terminated and denied.
8. Knowledge of the ULX Commands are not essential when applying but it is recommended and preferred that applicants expand their knowledge prior to applying or while the application is active.

I, Jonathan, agree to the terms stated above and accept that if my application is successful, I am henceforth a representative of Imperial Gaming and will act maturely and responsibly. I accept and will respect the powers that are given unto me with my position. I will only use the power given to me to enhance the experience of the members of the community. I accept that any abuse of these privileges comes with the risk of termination from the staff team. I accept that I may be demoted at any given time without prior warning or valid reason. I, the applicant, am well aware of the server rules and to the best of my ability will uphold and enforce these rules.

In my 2ish weeks of sith Ved has been very kind and helping. In my eyes he has shown qualities that fit the staff team quite nicely.

Recently got a mic for being able to moderate if accepted pretty poggers

I have had good interactions with Ved (Jonathan) those interactions were joyful, from what I have seen of Ved he has the potential to become a competent moderator in the community. If you are willing to put aside personnel matters and get serious when it comes to enforcing server rules while doing your best to make every users time on the server the best it can be than you'll do well.

Jonathan, for the time I've known him has been quite friendly and easy to speak to which is essential in a moderator. However, I cannot and will not ever fully support a moderator application of a person who does not actively use a mic. Having a MIC is essential when dealing with a tense situations which requires a moderator to speak up and manage it properly if need be. Sure, you'll be able to deal with small simple things like giving tools, moving people or spawning ships, but it is very difficult to get your point across and control a staff sit effectively if you aren't able to express yourself properly during it.

I personally have nothing against you dude, but I'm firm on my opinion and would be open to change if you rectified this.

Now that he uses his mic in game I'm going to lay down a +1. He's approachable and friendly in game and I've never had a negative interaction with him.

Personality wise he is mature and always a fun person to talk with, very friendly and helpful when needed. Ved / Jonathan is an active member and doesn't have a bad record on him, so I'd love to see him given a chance as a Staff Member. Having a bilingual Staff Member might come in handy.

P.S. I think we should stop pm-ing 'Babi' as a way to say hello everyday
