Sub-Regiment re-do (last one was bad)

I worded the last one really horrible so im re-doing them

also all of these would probably have different models

SHOCK

REMOVED: HOUND UNITS

ADDED: TRACKER UNITS: These are shock troopers who specialize in tracking down lost/escaping prisoners/vips with the help of hounds. Hounds will be played by either EC's or just a regular shock troopers in any event where hounds are needed

ADDED: HONOUR GUARDS: Basically just nova lol

ENGINEERS

ADDED: COMBAT ENGINEERS: These engineers have more health and heal vehicles for more hp. Combat Engineers specialize in frontline construction, healing vehicles and helping out in the battlefield

OVERALL

ADDED: ARC TROOPERS: Troopers who get an added hp bonus, get better training on how to be a free outward thinking soldier and possibly better weaponry

ADDED: ARF TROOPERS: Troopers trained in recon. They get a speed boost, equipment to help movement, binoculars and training in all things recon

MODIFIED: ARF,ARC,SUPPORT AND HEAVY: No longer clearance level locked

You do know that Shock Troopers already have a hound division specialised in using the hounds. That's why they're called the hound unit.  They're the ones with 63-SKHU in their names.

This already possible by getting the army to give engineers cover while they construct forward barricades.

These aren't sub-regiments. We also have Storm Commandos for recon.
Support and Heavy no longer being clearance level locked. Why? Just why?

 

 

Additionally, you  should have just made a reply to your original thread, rather that create a new thread; effectively posting three different threads with the same subject within 3 hours, filling up the forums with three split pages.

Yeah but you need to communicate with the army and need other people when it would just be cooler to get battle engineer

aren't sub regiments but I think they're cool so I added them

Support and heavy shouldn't be clearance level locked

 

No idea that was a rule so sorry on that one and I don't know how to delete the previous one I tried to

That's called RP. This is an RP server. 

It doesn't matter if it'll 'just' be cooler to have combat engineers. 

Rather than worrying too much about looking cool and running into combat with high health and powerful weapons, communicate with other players -- roleplay with other players.

I can see your point and think you're right in the fact of using communication and better weapons would be pretty stupid thinking about it. but I think increasing front line survivability with a small health increase and increase to vehicle repair would still be useful to a frontline engineer

Give the guy a break, he's new to the server and he has ideas on how to improve the server, showing that he's put the effort into finding ideas to improve it.

 

Honestly, Sub-Regiments are always iffy. There's a reason why they are almost always unofficial, or set up in RP, rather than different loadouts.

Interesting but most of the regiments listed here are already on the server to some degree.
 

Arc Troopers: Imperial commandos pretty much fill this role in my opinion
ARF Troopers: As kristofer as stated storm commandos fill this role

Combat Engineers: This could be a thing. Be a sub division for engineers maybe.

Tracker units: Might sound good on paper but might be a pain for EM's to do in events plus this is already as kristofer has said.

Their are better Sub Reg ideas for example these are a few i thought up 

  • medical research core for medics or Imperial researchers as their own reg aligned with TI or any projects
  • naval troopers for navy 
  • scout troopers replace the widow role in STs 
  • Bring Chimaera squad back as a sub reg of DT assigned to naval duties

to me this just sounds like an excuse to metagame where people are hiding

I wouldn't really recommend it since CL3s might just stick with it the whole time in the regiment and not giving a chance to the lower clearance levels to have a chance at the roles since there are probably some people at there that would do it to em.
