Why did the good regs get removed?

So does anybody know the reason regs like JT, Rancor, SCAR, 996th & all the jazz got either removed or replaced? Like was it a lore thing or something cause I genuinely have no idea. Personally I preferred these regiments over the current army regiments and i'm not sure if it's just a nostalgic factor or idk maybe just the models looked cooler but yeah why heck removed?

Because nobody seems to actually have any idea or background to why these changes happened, i would like to provide a bit of insight. There was a variety of reasons some regiments were removed or replaced, Most/All of the changes that happened to the old regiments fall into the following criteria.

1. Several regiments had a questionably similar role (SCAR, SW & Rancor)

2. These regiments had a lack of a role on the server (212th)

3. The regiments niche was oddly specific and never got utilized (SHR, 224th & Flame)

4. The regiments had struggled to maintain a consistent or basic activity for several months prior

As such it was proposed by old members of AHC that several changes/merges happen so that each regiment has a more unique distinctive role with larger slots so that a higher level of activity could be maintained. Though these changes did also have their own issues. The primary focus of the change was not 'Lore' but functionality, the reason most people's favorite regiments got cut was not popularity but they were replaced with a regiment that could theoretically do their job and more. But in practice this did not prove to be the case, it's easy to say in hindsight that these changes were flawed but old members of AHC were attempting to make these changes for the better and solve the issues faced back in 2019.

@Theta The primary problem with this is that the niche nature of a lot of those regiments is what made them so enjoyable, from their look, to their loadout, to their role on the server. Each regiment has had periods of being absolutely dead and also extremely populated (excluding 212th and Range perhaps) and that's to be expected, culling from the server however didn't really fix anything.

We went from having some really unique regiments and some generic ones to now having all generic ones. I come on the server these days and have no inspiration or interest to join a regiment anymore because they all are practically the same thing under a different name.

@Rivers As i stated i'm simply here to provide the actual reasons why the changes happen. I don't like the preconceived notion that past decisions were made to ruin other peoples fun or for the sole purpose of making the server 'Lore Friendly'. It's easy for people to insult past members of AHC here whilst they can't defend themselves, so i'm just attempting to clarify the genuine reasons behind these changes. I do agree that there were many flaws which have come to light, but people need to realize that the changes were made with good intentions and they were attempting to fix issues that were faced in 2019.
