  • Have you had any warns (If so state them)?
No, I have never received any warns.
  • Have you had any bans (If so state them)?
No, I have never received any bans.
  • Have you been staff on any other servers or communities (If so state them)?
I previously held the OOC position of Trial Event Master on Imperial Gaming during late 2019 and early 2020, however had to resign due to IRL circumstances. If you wish to know the reasoning you are free to contact me at any time.
  • What do you believe is the purpose of Moderators on the server?

In short, to keep the peace serving the members of the IG community. I believe the purpose of a moderator is to provide service to those in the community who ask for such. At any point there is an out of character dispute, contacting the moderating team is the first milestone to emerging a rational solution.

  • Why are you applying to be a Trial Moderator?

I am motivated to step up from my normal routine as a player in the community and commence a new responsibility in the community. I have plenty of experience in leadership and service to others. As I know I am not a significantly well-known player throughout the server or the staff team, I am trying to make myself recognised throughout the community. In my previous experience as an eventmaster, I looked up to my superiors just as I do to current moderators. There is also a notable issue regarding Imperial Starfighter Corps’ delayed response from Moderators when requesting Tie fighters that are essential for fights/events that I want to solve by becoming a moderator and supplying ISC with quick and constant vehicles.

  • What do you believe you can bring to the staff team?

I have experience in accessing qualities of a situation and investigating them into further detail, always attempting to find a rational and applicable solution. I always attempt to go over and beyond in all of my duties, whether in or out of character. As a short example, my out of character role requires me to complete numerous documents, tasks and exams. It is not compulsory for me to complete such tasks, however I complete them because I like serving those around me and committing to something much larger than myself. I am confident that the commitment that is embedded into my regiment and the surrounding community can be definitively reflected through an out of character role such as a moderator. I believe I appeal to others as being a mature, well-knowledged, co-operative, active player that is serious and sincere in working to be a respected player, both in and out of character. I believe these attributes would prove beneficial to a trial moderator as current moderators appear to also hold these characteristics and more. Although I may not be a well-known user to the staff team or a majority of players, through this application and my performance in the server and out of character, I intend to develop friendships and sociability.

  • Someone Mass RDM’s and disconnects from the server. What do you do?

In the situation where a player commits mass RDM and disconnects from the server, I would first identify what has happened. This can be accomplished by communicating with the affected players and gaining a perspective of the events. Thereafter, I would identify any further details by accessing all evidence of the situation that can be found in the server logs. Doing this can also be beneficial towards identifying any other server rules that may have been broken that may have not been communicated, associating to the consequences that the offender will face. I would then proceed to find the offenders steam ID using all sources provided to me such as the logs, the recruit spreadsheet, regimental commanders and other personnel. I would screen capture all available evidence as it is more professional and  Using the steamid, I will identify the appropriate consequences (warn, ban) depending on the severity of their actions, including any other rules that were broken in addition to Mass RDM, and enact them accordingly.  As an assumption, the specific consequences for the singular offence of Mass RDM should be a formal staff warning, in addition to a one week ban.

This would be done as such: (!warn (user/steamid) (reason)), (!ban (user/steamid) (ban time in mins) (reason - Mass RDM))

  • Someone is bullying another member of the community. What do you do?

Bullying is an untolerated act in the IG community considered as out of character disrespect which is a serious breach of misconduct. The purpose of playing in the IG community is to enjoy roleplaying in a peaceful, non-judgemental environment. To repress the situation, I would either go and confront the scene of activity or bring the players to a secure location to prevent Fail RP and proceed to access the situation using my own perspective by gathering evidence from the players in dispute. To identify why the dispute had begun and what was being said, the logs must be checked. This can also ensure that no derogatory or racist language was being used as this would lead to more severe consequences. As identified in the previous question, if the offender disconnects to avoid staff punishment, I would access logs and identify the steamid of the offending user. Measures would be taken to identify what specifically happened by communicating with all available sources. To ensure that evidence is efficiently identified and employed, I would keep a file of all available evidence for each bannable/warnable offence including kill logs and conversations. After a conclusive amount of evidence has been collected, I would identify the punishment in relation to the severity of the offenders actions. (Assume that the player has used racist, derogatory language and bullied a player in an offensive out of character perspective) I would use the previously identified steamid of the offender to permanently ban the player.

This would be done as such: (!ban (user/steamid) (ban time in mins - 0) (reason))

Allow a ban appeal within 1 month’s time, after the offender has recognised the severity of their actions.

  • You see a higher ranking staff member abuse their powers. What do you do?

Staff power abuse is serious as it degrades the reputation of the staff team as a whole and should be treated as such. Depending on the abusing actions of the staff member, I would capture any available evidence in logs and in-game observation. As a stance in an attempt to prevent abuse, I would attempt to confront them and ask why they are abusing their OOC rank. Doing this, I would screenshot the conversation as evidence and inform Wingza as he holds the position of staff manager. I would suggest that he closely observe the activities of the staff member. If I see the same staff member abusing their abilities in future, I will capture all available evidence and present it to the management team. As a low ranking moderator, it would be more professional and efficient to leave a manner such as staff abuse to a more superior, senior member of the community.

  • Someone threatens to DDOS the server. what do you do?

The threat of a DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service Attack) is an extremely serious out of character offence that puts the entire server; it’s users and staff in risk of an attack. Firstly, I would record and screenshot all available evidence in logs and actions in game. The more evidence that is provided, the easier it will be to establish what the user’s intentions are. I would contact a member of the management team immediately, specifically informing Zaspan as he holds the position of server manager and is likely the most qualified to handle an event as such. Providing Zaspan all the captured evidence and allowing him to decide the proper action to take in order to secure the most effective outcome for the server.

Changing to Neutral

Does seem regretful about abusing his powers, it was in the past.

During your time as EM you constantly spawned yourself cycler rifles to kill people easier for the reason "I'm allowed to, I'm staff"

What you say I can approve is true and i'm regretful for doing so. I knew what I was doing was wrong and against various rules and I did get disciplined for it by my superiors but I never did anything of the sort ever again and don't intend to furthermore. Right now I just want to do my part for the community and I hope you can respect that I will never abuse privileges like that again.

Sir. I do not know you. I do not know many people. But your application was full of detailed content and well constructed thought through answers. Just by reading the responses and your answers to the questions I can tell you are a well known player and a mature person in general.

This entire reply to an accusation was immaculate. Shows great maturity and growth from that point and I believe you would make a great moderator, I believe you would make a great addition to the team already in place. Once again my status isn't as good as it used to be but I hope that even my reply can help you on your way.
