Why are you applying for this position?: The reason I am applying for this position is that I would like to enhance the RP experience in events, I would also like to make the events on this server more entertaining not only for the troopers who run into battle and heroicly engage in combat but also give responsibilities to ISB, NAVY etc. It is common knowledge that members of these regiments leave, or log off during these events, which I think is fundamentally wrong, events should bring the server and community in. This is the huge reason I am applying for this position if you don't think what I mentioned above is an issue feel free to express it in the comments.


How will allowing you to be a part of our staff team help us?: letting me as a part of the staff team at basis will help because I'm one extra member to a role that is currently understaffed, asides from this and other obvious points. I will give fresh eyes into the way events are run and give feedback on the possibility to decrease the time of setup. As I believe an enjoyable event is always harder to achieve the longer the setup period. It is also common knowledge that I like a good discussion if I think an event is sub par I will express my concerns and suggest feedback.

What can you do to make events more enjoyable and attract more people?: As stated above and bellow I believe the only way to improve events is to engage every possible member of every regiment and assign regiments to proper jobs. What I mean by this is IC is elite so we give them elite jobs (Flanking jobs, sniping, Diving), Storm Troopers are on the frontline acting as cannon fodder, star crash is equipped with deadly gas(use them), etc the list goes on. What I'm saying is that each regiment has a special skill so I(with the help of the EMs) plan to incorporate events that play to the strengths of each and every regiment, whether it be with ISB and inquisitors doing interrogation, Engineers building grounding points and buildings, Navy can assist in the operational logistics and the oversight of trooper transport etc.

Anything else you would like to add: Another idea(suggestion) of mine which I would like to add is that event managers are also required to assist in the process of passive RP, A perfect example of this was on the night of 15/06/2017 after the main event was compleated, where A rogue Rear Admiral assigned his troopers (212th) to arrest me and commander Qtek, things escalated Grand Moff Tarkin got involved told them to stand down etc. I and shock and other officials then proceeded to question them(etc). The 212th then took the bridge and was holding it off as they had gone rouge. Now while this mini passive RP event seems simple it is good on so many different levels. For starters, it was set up and executed in a way where if you were busy doing tryouts you could continue as a trooper and if you were not busy you could help. It also entertained myself and others. While this does not and should not be a daily occurrence, events of this nature should also be implemented before Major Events.



Two different example events that you will do if you get accepted for the position of Event Master: 

Event One Infiltration

Map: Star Destroyer

Random Troopers who want to do event:

Plot: Troopers from various regiments have started to become self-aware of their power as a group, after various secret meetings they decide the best course of action is to take over the bridge to achieve this plan. They slowly but efficiently start to kill of troopers that don't join them( after killing the trooper, the trooper will join the group). Once this force if left unrestricted will attempt to take over the bridge, if they succeed in this process the bridge will grant them 10 extra men as reinforcements including 2 turned siths, after this point the rebelling group should have enough men and troopers to take over the ship fully they will reveal themselves to each other, turning the tables on the few that have not been turned, it will then be to the betterment of the remaining troops to gather and make a final stand and attempt to take back the ship.

DOT Points About event

This event by nature is not intended to be an RDM feast, the few troopers at the start will have to use their brains and secrecy to attempt to convert and then eliminate the men that don't convert. 

For example, if a trooper is a part of shock, he will use the ability to take troopers to the brig or the interrogation room to convert and then dispose of them there, I will also ensure that no minges start off in the starting group and only people that we trust get the role of starting.

This event is also highly dynamic, for example, if the group is able to successfully convert one of the Navy then it could be possible for the Navy to RP the placement of jammers blocking out all communication to both friendlies and hostiles.

If as a community we are able to make more events like this, where we don't have to inform you that an event is going to occur it will increase the RP tenfold, people will start to act more like troopers not conversing with other regiments and doing other various actives that could be seen as not trooper like

While I do understand that this event could get out of hand very quickly I would hope that instead of running down the hallways yelling join or die, that troopers could escort other members into the engine room and execute of convert them there. 

Another point, the event will not go server wide until the point where they have taken over the bridge, at this point the tables will turn where the rebel force will have the advantage of men.

The players who are uprising will have no special weapons or treatment they must use they brains and combined power to isolate and manipulate each trooper.

Event Two Sabotage

Map: Star Destroyer, Mustafa,

Players: Droids as players in the first map than some droids also players (Droids will keep spawning over and over) 8-12

Droid Weapons: DLT / E11

The second map will have 3 Human Workers and 1 Human leader(Players need to be good at passive RP)

 

Stage 1 Droids: The first part of this event is a quick Droid Malfunction/Sabotage  the Empire will receive a shipment of droids to help out on the ship after about 5 minutes the droids attack plunging the ship into DEFCON 3 once one of the droids have been eliminated NAVY/ISB will investigate the droid and discover that it was  Sabotage during the manufacturing process, as it was  programmed to rebel.

Stage 2 Debrief: The Debrief will outline why the droids attacked and where the empires suspicions lie due to the origin of the droids coming from a droid factory on the planet Mustafar. After all the relevant information has been outlined we travel to Mustafa where a more detailed plan is distributed to the troopers. 

Stage 3 Landing: During this period while we set up the event, a detailed explanation of each regiments jobs and responsibilities will be outlined as shown here

Teir 1-ISB will take one or two engineers to help assist in an interrogation room 

Teir 1 Engineers will assist in building bridges over the lava so that troopers may progress and also building a prison

Teir 1 Magma Troopers (if any are on) You are skilled in hot objects guard the Engineers building the bridge

Teir 1-2-3 NAVY you are to ensure that no comms are to leave the plant, You are to also ensure that no one leaves the immediate area, If they do comms it in and ion cannon them down.

Teir 2-3 Sith/Knights of Zakul you are to find any hostilities and arrest and detain them

Teir 2-3 IC will assist in the removal of any rogue droids.

Teir 2-3 Shock will assist in the finding of each and every single genetic lifeform and detain them and bring them to the bridge

Teir 2-3 General Populous of troopers is to progress up to and secure the droid factory ensuring that no genetic life forms are eliminated only droids.

If someone in the comments could find a list of all the different regiments I can make a more detailed list

This is also just a rough idea of how something like this could work.

Stage 4/5 Jobs: During this time I(as the event master) will inspect and ensure that each trooper is doing their job if someone is not doing their job to a level that is acceptable. It will affect the Outcome of this event. After about 10mins everyone should have compleated Tier 1 tasks meaning that breaching of the facility is ready.

Stage 6 Breaching Tier 2: At this point in time each regiment under the command of their commander is to breach the facility, it will be an uphill battle so I will tell you on the day to use your head and be smart(Because running up like a brainless person will get you killed). It is at this point that the bridge built by the engineers will collapse under the weight of troopers if it is poorly built, leading to troopers taking damage that could be avoided. It is also at this point that if any genetic life forms are killed then any crucial information that belonged to them is destroyed.

During this time a lot of situations could happen EG if Navy did not manage to jam the comms then Rebels and Jedis will be on their way, So for the sake of keeping this post from not being too long, I will stress the fact that my events will be heavily dynamic and the actions and lack of actions of troopers and other various parties will in fact impact on the overall success of the event.

Stage 7 Tier 3: This is the point in time when we have the droid facility under control. It is at this point when ISB/NAVY/ Inquisitors will be questioning the people captured, The base is also to be searched for any remaining personal /droids. While all of this is going on the leader of the facility will attempt to fly away if he succeeds in making his way to his ship and flying off then the whole mission is deemed a failure, again this point like the other point determines the success of the mission, if ISB with the help of engineers built an interrogation room which myself and others deem to be worthy, then the information gathered can be collected. 

Stage 8 Success/Failure: We will debrief back at the star destroyer if the mission is a Success we will highlight the excellent work of the parties involved, if however, the overall mission was a failure then the appropriate parties will be called and executed in a firing line, Or Darth Vader or Empower Palatine will execute you in their own fashion(you will not get Perma Killed)

Last note with this Event I would like to stress the fact that my events will always have a dynamic factor to them I will also try and include every regiment, for example, I will not be calling when hostiles are approaching NAVY will be assigned to do this. Your orders are clear from the start. The generally brainless fashion that troopers demonstrate on events will not work here, you will be punished for failing to follow orders.

Pablo is a great, tolerant, intellectually open minded fellow, who on many occasions has proven himself to me, of being great Event Master Material. He doesn't cause problems, and his passive RP is straight forward and to the point. He holds his own in any conversation and has been one of the most active ISB agents I have seen of late. This app is well thought out and structured, with better than decent content explaining what he wants to do and how he would like to do it.

One thing tho, you gotta be careful with that first event, because many people fear the punishment of being Pk'd, and may decide above all that participating is a risk to great to take. How about this tho, you assemble your event characters, and outside, you give them different names and ranks within regiments. If it'll only be for a short time, b4 bridge take over, it will be easy for these troopers to not be spotted by the regiment that wear the colors of. Thus if anyone is truly dealt with, it won't look bad towards any regiment, as all commanders will be able to see, that the person really wasn't part of that regiment, and that its an event. Where they would then more likely that not go along with the event. 

Or, you could have 4-5 regiments selected, then hold a commanders meeting for only those regi Commanders, and basically explain to them, that event characters will be put into their regiments, with the purpose of revolting inside the bridge. Now when leaving the meeting, Commanders are asked to only tell their troopers an RP side of the meeting that "Troopers inside their regiment have been suspected for treason by ISB, but that there isn't any actual proper proof, It is thought that something will have sooner than later, and we mustn't interfere until it does."  That means your've got the EM giving an OOC run down to the Commanders, Commanders give a RP run down to their troopers, and I guess that is only set up. Now the middle part before bridge take over, I think it should be, the group of rogue troopers assembling themselves as they walk through the SD. They will be a private group, and when they talk, avatar pictures may leak the fact that them being in the regiment is an event characteristic, but the Troopers should start as one, to 2, to 4, as they assemble to 8ish of walking around the ship and asking other rogues to follow.  Once assembled the idea might be, for RP terms, that one person in the group wants to start a new reg, and that these are the people he wants to assemble it with, they get codes and access into the bridge to talk to a person event or not, that will explain to them about the new regiment they want to be. 

They role out of the bridge is what even fashion, hostage or not they want. But this sounds like a great opportunity for the Server to advertise a new regiment on the donator page. IDK sounds like a cop out if every heard that is was an advertisement, but hey, whatcha gonna do.

+1 Events are planned very well. Lots of effort has been put into the app. It will however be difficult to watch all the regiments and assign them to separate task. I guess with the help of another event master It could be pulled off Niner Out

(Didn't bother reading questions, I just read Event 2)

I can see how much effort you put into this application, which is great. There are a lot of mistakes, like how when you are giving the roles to people you say it as if it's a dialogue. I also dislike the part where you give yourself a role in the event as an ISB.

In my experience playing events. Events with small scenes such as a broken bridge due to the Engineers is a pretty bad event.

Also, a lot of grammar mistakes. You fail to make it past tense!

By surrounding an event around yourself is pretty selfish. Events are meant to be meant for the whole server. By giving yourself a large role in the event as your normal job is pretty.. idk the word but.. selfish. You can make yourself a different Event Character like General (Something).

You have made ISB do passive RP which is good, although, as Divisionary said, some troopers fear the thought of getting PK'd. This can be avoided by changing names etc. 

You are a good member of the community, and I hope to see you part of the team, +1.

*NOTE* I would recommend you think of some more *open* event ideas.

Your application is well written and goes into detail, you role play well in game and seems like a nice bloke that would fit this position as a Event Master as the responsibilities it carry's can often be given to the wrong person and can lead to some abuse of powers.

+1 Always contributing to the server in some way, this could be through passive RP, new event ideas.

After monitoring him in DT and ISB I believe that he is more then capable of handling EM and what comes with it.

Pablo is a mature and well respected member of the community in my eyes and I believe there is no better person then pablo to receive this rank.

+1 - If he can make his events work effectively then it will be amazing. But cringe as to why the droids come on the ship in the second event - There would already be droids on the ship, why it needed more - But good lead on.  He is loyal and dedicated. Willing to give this guy a shot! Good Luck.

Very hard to give a task to every regiment (believe me). 

Good, well thought out events.

Your good at your roleplay which is an indication that you can bring more rp into the events.
