Ban Details

aDBbcSr.png

How long was the ban for: Permanent (Community Ban)

Which staff member banned you: Management

What date did the ban occur: 18/11/2018

What was the reason for the ban: Attempting to get members of the Event Master team to resign in order to negatively impact the Head Event Master.

Explain the situation in detail which led to you being banned: In November of last year, I went to Sydney to meet up with another member of the Imperial Gaming community. Whilst I was away, the person I was staying with, Goliath, decided to resign from his Event Master role on the Imperial Roleplay server due to personal reasons. Due to this, I decided to contact another member of the community who was also an Event Master on the server at the time, Bailey, and decided to try and convince him to leave the Event Master team alongside Goliath, as at the time I believed he was sitting on the fence in regards to leaving the Event Master team (a matter in which I had been mistaken). Whilst I was trying to convince him to leave the Event Master team, I also suggested for him to see if anyone else wanted to leave the team as well, in order to cause a mass-exodus of Event Masters, as it would damage the Head Event Masters reputation on the server, and make it look like he was neglecting or failing at his duties in a hopes of getting him either suspended or removed from his position.

Unbeknownst to me at the time, Bailey was also relaying my messages to the Imperial Gaming Management Team after I had told him to leave the team with as many other members as possible. Because of my behavior, and what I was asking Bailey to do, I was promptly banned on the forums and from all of the Imperial Gaming Servers. Shortly after this happened, I received a message from the owner, Wolf, telling me that I was being Community Banned from Imperial Gaming for my actions and that I could appeal the ban at some stage in the future, but for the meantime, I had no place within the Imperial Gaming Community.

Why do you believe you deserve to be unbanned / given a second chance: I believe that I should be unbanned and given a second chance within the Imperial Gaming Community because over the past 7 months since I was banned, I have had quite a long time to reflect on my actions in the hours leading up to my ban from the Imperial Gaming Community. I honestly do not know what I was thinking at the time when I was sending those messages to Bailey, nor can I even begin to defend my actions at the time as it was extremely inappropriate to ask Bailey to resign from the staff team and to try and get others to follow suit. Not only were my actions inappropriate, but they were also disrespectful not only to those I was talking about, but also towards the Imperial Gaming Community as a whole as my actions at the time did not demonstrate any of the virtues a member of the Imperial Gaming Community should have. In saying this I would like to also express my most sincere apologise to all of those involved in my ban, and to the entirety of Imperial Gaming as my actions were extremely out-of-line as my actions would have negatively impacted the community, all due to a personal disagreement I had with the Head Event Master.

I would like to say that if I was to get unbanned, I would try my hardest to show the Imperial Gaming Community that I have grown since this event transpired and be able to show everyone that I can demonstrate the virtues I did for the years leading up to this event within the Imperial Gaming Community. I also understand that I will not just simply get back the respect or trust I may have once had within this community, but I will try my best to earn it back over the coming months if this appeal is successful. I also need to point out that after some careful re-reading and thorough reflection of my previous ban, I can now see that there were a large host of issues, errors, and half-truths strewn throughout it and would like to offer my deepest apologise for this as I should have been more direct and truthful in regards to it, instead of bending the truth to fit what I though happened that night, which I can now clearly see.

I would like to make myself available to anyone who would like to speak to me in regards to this matter, or anything else at all via steam, teamspeak, private messages or discord. I would also like to let everyone know that before I posted this ban appeal, I went and spoke to the Community Manager of Imperial Gaming, Chopz, to get his permission to post a ban appeal, something I did not do last time which turned out to be a rather large mistake. I have also recently had a chat to Bailey in regards to the incident that occurred in November and both came to the agreement that there were no hard feeling between one another. He also told me to quote him in my upcoming ban appeal stating that "You should be unbanned as I think you have served your timeout long enough, and have had more than enough to think about what happened.", something I am very grateful for.

I would like to thank everyone for taking the time out of their day to read this ban appeal, and hopefully, those of you who are able to respond to this post are able to forgive me for my past actions and once again allow me to be a member of this community.

Regards,

pinejack

+1 Pinejack did tell another staff member (as a joke) to tell other staff members to leave (also as a joke). I have spoken with him in TS and he does sound like he has changed and has good intentions if he is unbanned. The ban appeal is well written with a large amount of detail and is formatted extremely well. I do think you have changed Pinejack and believe you deserve a second chance on coming back. Good luck.

I personally have only had several brief interactions with Pinejack himself and I can tell just by reading this post that he appears to have changed for the best and truly reflected on the events that transpired resulting in his ban from the community. I believe that if Pinejack were to be given a second chance he should be granted such opportunity alongside a strict 6 months to 1 year probation period and if there is any sign of any similar incidents in the works than another community ban would be justified. I hope to see you returning in the near future as a productive and active member of the community as you once were in the past.

Best Of Luck,

Sully

Your appeal is highly detailed. You seem genuinely sorry about what you did, and that you actually want to rejoin the community. I would be happy if you were allowed back into the community but perhaps with a small probation period.

I personally have never met you, But have read into  your old  appeals,  and from what I can  collect is that you misread a situation and made some dumb decisions on  those implications

I'll be leaving a +1 on this application for the reasons above.

I can confirm that this was said by me in the Discord call during our talk.

I think this is something that @Welshy should touch on as well, as it heavily involved him.

+1 i was around for a while when pinejack wasn't banned we didn't talk to much as i was new to the server and the community but i agree with what a lot of people have said and that he has served his time for the things he did and that he should be put on a trial period and return to being unbanned across all servers.

@Welshy I would like your opinion on this matter as it was a personal attack on you and it is fair for you to have the majority of say for this before we make a decision.

Hi Pinejack,

Firstly thank you for explaining the Truth completely in your appeal this time.

Your behaviour and attitude were contributing factors to your removal from the Event Master Team. Not long after you decided to approach Bailey, a former colleague in the Event Master Team in an effort to undermine me, defame my reputation within the community and leave area's of the community in disarray if these events were to take place. Yes it has been sometime since your ban initialised from your unprovoked, malicious actions (with or without thought) towards myself personally. The Community Ban should stay for a few more months, just to be sure you do not bring the attitude you formerly have and to demonstrate that you have actually thought on your actions and decisions. I cannot honestly forgive or forget the actions you decided. The only way I would consider to even see you back in this community in the future, anyway whatsoever is a Blacklist from Staff of all servers and restricted from PAC on all servers. Those roles are privileges and you have certainly lost them. Furthermore a strict 6-12 month probation period. As any infraction that is major would lead you back to a Community Ban.

I personally would like the Ban to remain for at least a month or a few more months before you are able to return to the Community at all. However I would eventually consider the possibility as stated if those conditions were to be met. This is my opinion.

I do hope you appreciate why and can understand where I am coming from.

I would like to thank everyone who has responded to my ban appeal so far as it means a lot to me.

In regards to what @Welshy has said, I am more than happy to be placed on a strict probation period as is the case with most users who are unbanned from either a permanent or community ban. I also agree that I should not be allowed to apply for staff / pac3 again on the server as I lost that privilege when I was banned for my actions last November.

Hi @Carnifex, I can explain the image that you have linked. I can see from the image how it looks on my part but I can assure you, and anyone else reading this, that it is honestly not how it seems. I was responding to another steam user's question (cannot recall who it was) and they asked something along the lines of "Weren't you banned?" (again, I can't recall the exact wording). I think the user asked this because I posted a comment on the steam page saying "Can we get a #RIP in chat for Emerald" despite being currently banned on Imperial Gaming (probably wasn't the best idea to post on the steam group as I was community banned, and I apologize for that). I responded with the message that you can see in the image, saying "yep" because I was in fact banned. At some stage between then and now the user's comment has been removed/deleted for whatever reason (I am assuming their account was deleted or something along those lines or they just decided to remove their comment) and you are left with what you can see in the image.

I obviously don't think that Imperial Gaming is the "land of degenerates" as the user below my message commented because if I did, why would I be appealing to get a long-term ban lifted so I can come back to the community. I have gone in and since deleted my steam comment on the steam group to avoid any confusion with the matter (something I was not aware of until you brought it up Carnifex). If you or anyone else have any questions in regards to this or anything else, I'll be on TeamSpeak in one of the public lobbies for the rest of tonight (or just feel free to message me on the forums).

Hi @pinejack

Your ban appeal has been Accepted.

Your ban has been reduced from permanent to 1 month.

When your ban expires, you must report to management to discuss your probation.

Welcome back to Imperial Gaming!
