224th Ideas

224th as a regiment is currently struggling. This is due to the little amount of rp and no special equipment for new recruits to be excited about. We are meant to escort tanks, but with the few tank troopers and inability to actually do anything with tanks without it being an off-ship event, the opportunity to do so is limited. Also our requests for special equipment (thermal dets, grappling hooks, shaped charges and repair tools) has been denied.

Im personally out of ideas on what to try to add to the reg, so if anyone has any ideas that would be amazing <3

Considering you are an Imperial Armoured Division (IAD) my suggestion is maybe Riot Shields? as then you would come across more armoured?

Could always just RP that stuff, fixing tanks in RP, etc. Shit like that.

I had this problem with 212th and I just got told to deal with it. However, that's not what I am saying to you.

What you could do to entice more people to 224th is be a fun regiment to be in and don't give up on it. If you get other people that enjoy the regiment and have fun ways of entertaining people you wont have that much of a problem. 

Basically what I'm trying to say is don't give up on your regiment just because no one will join.

The problem is that there is very little to entice the 224th being a fun reg. We have the same weapons as shore, but missing se-14c and thermal dets. As well as it being a pain that our only rp relies on another regiment.

 

 

And I'm not giving up thats why i made this post xd

Yes 212th was and still is exactly the same. We have nothing that is different from a Vader's Fist trooper and they get to be with Vader himself and be in 501st which sounds a lot better than 212th doesn't it. We have about 1 reliable weapon. But we make it work which is what you need to do make your regiment work with what it has and do your best it doesn't matter if you don't have an explosive that you never get to use you make your regiment what you want it to be.

Probably buff their load-out slightly or give them a shield, as Sully mentioned above. Something to make them feel more Armoured.

I think you could do. more RP in your time like what Bailey said like fixing tanks and stuff that you guys own. Also, like what Sully said since you are an armored division you could have riot shields. That's something I can +1.

We were told we weren't allowed to fix and repair tanks. When I was Commander I requested this and it was denied.

I just submitted another request for repair tool, repairing tanks rp and walker liscences. All denied. Reason being that Engineers and Tank Troopers are already regiments.

What I think, is that 224th should have an extra duty other then guarding non existent tanks, maybe like... assisting ENG or... assisting pilots or some shit like that

The main issue is that the one thing we do actually have to do, relies on another reg, which (no offense to tank troopers) has two members and arent all that active. The entire time ive been in 224th ive only actually escorted a tank 2 or 3 times.

I want 224th to not have to rely on another reg to give us something to do. I applied for walker license and rickle previously applied for a tank license so that we could have something to escort/do while thank troopers weren't online, naturally, both where denied.

Idk im just out of ideas

Military regiments do come short when it comes to RP, but I've dug up some stuff about the 224th Imperial Armoured Division that may be utilized within RP.

- The commanding officer of the 224th IAD does not participate in battles, instead he sits in a command outpost while his troopers suffer in the battlefield. Similar to what the Generals of IHC do.

- The 224th IAD consists of individuals that the Empire want gone. Such as Clone Wars Vets, Incompetent Troopers, etc. They're sent to muddy and dangerous planets in hopes of them eventually dying.

- Also I wouldn't mind 224th getting thermal dets
