690083569_GarrysMod11_12_20188_19_58PM(2).png.d057f66c7b96b87c9bdf53d42e85f066.png

Have you had any warns and/or bans (If so state them): I have not received any warns or bans but I did receive 3 verbal warnings during my time as EM. Since then I have made sure that I read all the rules and stay as mature as I can. If I do receive the role of event master again I will make sure to memorise all the rules and apply them every second I am on the server.

Have you been event master on any other servers (If so state them): No I have not been an EM on any other servers but I have been a Trial Event Master here on IG.

Why are you applying to be an event master: I Recently saw whiteys call for help on the forums and thought that I would throw my hat back in the ring and help out. However, a call for help isn't my only reason, for a few weeks now I have been considering to re-apply. I believe that I could definitely improve myself and the server by Receiving the role again and finishing off what I started 6 months ago. As well as this I believe that the EM team could definitely use more members at the current point in time, I believe that I could greatly assist the EM Team and bring it back up to its previous status

What can you bring to the event master team: I can bring a lot of things to the event master team. Experience, Commitment and Creativity being just a few of them. During my time as a Trial Event Master, I learnt a lot about events and how to run them correctly, I've also learnt what not to do as an event master. This knowledge and first-hand experience would greatly benefit me as a Trial Event Master. Commitment is probably one of my weakest skills however, I have been trying to improve this, I've stayed in Engineers for 2 Months now and have worked my way up to Warrant Officer II (Master Technician) and am still trying to get better at it. Creativity, probably my strongest skill that I can bring, I've always loved being creative whether it's Drawing, Designing or Building. I Believe this skill is very well suited for creating events and completing them.

What can you do to make events more enjoyable and innovative: I believe from personal experience the treatment of EC's could be improved as well as the number of events produced per day. To elaborate on point one I think that EC's should be able to enjoy themselves just as much as the players participating in the event. I think a point reward (100 Points) or Shorter wait times for EC's would improve the overall Moral and lower the rate of leavers and increase the number of people joining in as an EC. Now my Second Point, I think improving the number of Events per day and the quality of the events would make Events seem more like a reward or Gift rather than a burden every few hours.

Do you have basic knowledge of ULX commands: Yes I do have basic knowledge of ULX commands.

Anything else you would like to add: I Know that my history and maturity is questionable but I promise I've been working as hard as I can to change this perception. Thank you for giving me the chance to apply and reading through this application. <3

Please fill out both event ideas and provide much detail as possible:

Event Ideas (Both are in Doc): Events

  • The application is good, but its close to your old one.
  • You were an EM before, and you did close to no events, and the events were average at best.
  • You aren't honestly that active, it'd need to go up.

My opinion is subject to change.

Good luck with your application.

Thanks for the feedback Bailey, I haven't been active much lately due to exams and assignments but I'm going to be on 2-6 hours a night from now on.

Ello mate!

I'm sorry to say this but I'm going to put NETURAL as the things I've seen and heard from the fellow posters isn't looking good.

Your app has good detail

BUT

The activity and the fact that you were gone during trial isn't looking good
Other than that everything else is fine and dandy!

If this improves my opinion will absolutely change!

Good Luck

Neutral

From my interactions with you, you seem like a very friendly and great person to talk to. I personally have nothing against you, but of what I've seen of others responses, you may not be the most active or trustworthy person in this position

My opinion is subject to change

Good Luck Regardless!

Hi All
Thank you for the feedback! I would just like to address some of the points that have been brought up on my application.

1. "The application is good, but its close to your old one." - When I was writing this application I read through my old one multiple times to make sure that I wasn't copying anything. If you read through both you can see the differences such as my motives, the length of the responses and the overall quality improves.

2. "You were an EM before, and you did close to no events, and the events were average at best." - I Understand what you mean about my previous EM Role however, I do not believe that my past should define my future and what I do with it. That's what the trial period is for.

3. "You aren't honestly that active, it'd need to go up." - When I first put this post up I wasn't active due to overwhelming school work as well as playing other games with friends but now that the holidays are in I can commit more time to the server and help out way more. Also, this doesn't mean that I will only be active in the holidays then go inactive when school starts. I'm going to attempt to manage my time better next year during the school periods which should help my activity go up a lot more.

Sorry if this response came off as hostile,
I'm just putting in my 10 cents on the feedback. Again thank you so much for the feedback and hope you all have a lovely day!

Yes, the trial period is there to assess the player on their skills, but then how can you have changed or developed your EM skills if you have not had any past EM experience after leaving/being removed from the role. In the quote you presented, the fact is that it is based on skills, not behaviour or maturity. Again, how could you have developed your EM skills if you have not actually gained anymore experience.

NEUTRAL  (closer to a -1)

Positives:

  • Event ideas show good potential
  • Intentions behind wanting the role 'seem' pure
  • Some prior experience (minimal but still existent none the less)

Negatives:

  • Event Phases could be further explained to provide greater detail and improve planning on the event specifics
  • Application as a whole shows minimal detail in regards to question answers (me nitpicking)
  • Activity, even prior to your trip was lacking. Very little was seen of you, recieved mixed feedback regarding player interaction with you (will be sure to judge for myself however)
  • Basic knowledge of ULX is prevalent through the event examples however unsure exactly what you know due to no explanation in that section, Commands are a key part of what makes an EM.
Spoiler

Have you had any warns and/or bans (If so state them): I have not received any warns or bans but I did receive 3 verbal warnings during my time as EM. Since then I have made sure that I read all the rules and stay as mature as I can. If I do receive the role of event master again I will make sure to memorise all the rules and apply them every second I am on the server.

  • The text in the above spoiler is your response to the warn/ban question, you received 3 verbal warnings during your time as an EM. (what exactly were these for, the question asks you to state them.) following this you proceed to say that since then you have made sure to follow all the rules and that if given the role again you will be sure to memorise all the rules. This shouldn't be the case, the Rules are the FIRST thing you do/look at when put into a position of any kind especially a staffing position so there should have been no reason for you to get these warns (still unaware of the warns exact specifics).

Due to the reasons stated above i will be giving you a NEUTRAL leaning closely to a -1 despite the negatives out balancing the positives purely because i want to further evaluate you within the server and as i once read,

Spoiler

Don’t let past disappointments determine your future life. Nothing you have or have failed to do in the past can stop you from creating a hugely successful future, starting right now.
Make the commitment to leave the past behind. You should only use it as motivation to push you forward. You are more than capable of becoming successful, just remember Your Past Doesn’t Define Your Future, believe in yourself and TAKE ACTION!

I wish you good luck with your endeavours in becoming a member of the Event Master team and please note my opinion is subject to change, enjoy your holidays!

Sincerely,

Sully
