[Resolved] Joining Issues

Question

For some reason I can't make a post in the 'Support Hub' so I'm just going to put it here (until it gets moved *hint hint*).

Anyway, just today I finished my new PC build, installed GMOD and CSS, downloaded all the content (which for all of the above was a multi-hour process) then when trying to join the server, I always get "Lua Panic! not enough memory!". I've gone through with Imposing, tried everything, and even he is out of ideas. So I thought I'd put this to the wider community to see if anyone has had a similar problem and or has a (preferably) permanent fix. I've also linked a pastebin of my full system specs (from system information) for you viewing pleasure.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and help me out!

EDIT: If you are unable to hop on teamspeak, send me a private message on the forums or add me on steam : http://steamcommunity.com/id/Carnifexlol/

Try this
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1114443719
If that don't work.. unsub from all the addons and sub to them 1 by 1 or in batches of 4 and keep rejoining till you figure out which addon is causing the issue

What has been tried so far? Just so I know.

Have you tried joining any other servers as of yet?

restarting game, Windows 10 fix, verifying game cache, unsubbing and resubbing and allocating more ram to gmod

Make sure you have DirectX installed

Put in your gmod launch options (Right Click Gmod on steam > Properties > Set Launch Options)

+mat_dxlevel 90 +mat_specular 0 -heapsize 16777216

Put in your autoexec.cfg

datacachesize 128

mem_max_heapsize 2048

Also make sure you only have the servers addons installed and

Open Task Manager right click hl2.exe and hover over Set Priority then click High

Then join the stardestroyer/rishi on singleplayer

This is what I did to fix it when I had the issue, either that or it fixed over time.

Let us know when you can jump on next @Lincoln. someone had the issue yesterday and setting them to ST recruit whilst they loaded in fixed the issue. You'll have to load in, we set you as recruit, it will crash one more time then you should be able to join next time. Let us know so we can try this.
