Queball's Trial Moderator Application

Recommended Posts

Steam Name:

Cueball

Steam ID:

76561198051134931

In game name and rank:

Naval Guard [02] Queball (Equivalent to a Navy Commander)

Time Played:

1 Week, 3 Hours, 44 Minutes

Why are you applying for this position?:

I saw the recent requirement for Moderators for the sake of maintaining this server. I've been playing on Imperial Gaming for a couple of months now, and have found the time both enjoyable and memorable. Furthermore, I decided to make this application to see what I myself could do to offer my judgement to situations that need to be dealt with, to help those that need to be helped, and to essentially help this server continue to be as it has been, a second home for it's players.

How will allowing you to be apart of our staff team help us:

By becoming a Moderator, I feel that i'll be able to provide another voice of opinion, and a general helping hand to supplement the numbers that the server requires to continue flowing smoothly. If anything else, I would like to apply my calm and collected persona to the field in the chance that it may be required, perhaps, like I stated previously, in solving issues that may require that state of mind. I feel that patience is one of the best possible qualities to have when being in a position that requires decisions, assistance or advice, and this is something I know I can practice myself.

Have you been a Staff on previous servers if so please list them:

I have not been staff on any previous servers.

Have you had any warnings, kicks or bans if so please list them:

I have had no warnings, kicks or bans on this server or others.

What can you bring to Imperial Gaming:

As I had previously stated, I can bring my personality to the table. I can provide my experience in dealing with, while not being a moderator, situations in the past on other servers that have required a decision and input. For example, I've played on Star Wars RP servers before, and have received experience in semi-management of regiments, where I have had to lead and help where it's due.

Anything else you would like to add:

I will put it out there now that I do not have a proper functioning mic, but I can type quickly and have no problem being in Teamspeak, I hope this is fine.

Terms
I accept that I am a representative of Imperial Gaming, and that I have been given these powers to make the experience of others better. I understand that advertising my application can get it denied. I accept that I may be demoted at any time by a senior member of staff without prior warning, as long as a valid reason is given. I have read all the rules and understand them completely, if not I will ask a higher staff member for a better explanation.

Neutral

Queball is a good person but (in my point of view) I don't think that your very well known throughout the community. I may be wrong but I will change my mind if I see a lot of support when it comes to this app. Good luck mate.

NEUTRAL.

Positives:

- From what I have heard you are a very serious roleplayer who does not minge around and break server rules. This is a good trait to have as you want to be a role model for players when moderating on the server and certainly do not want to be breaking rules, creating a bad reputation for yourself.

- From what I have heard you are a friendly player who respects everyone. Once again you want to have this type of personality so you do not come of rude to other players. Everybody enjoys a friendly encounter with another player, especially during staff sits, people do not want a rude and ignorant staff member.

Neutrals:

- Activity is lacking a bit, but I do understand that many people have IRL commitments and a social life too.

Negatives:

- Not well known in the community. Getting well known throughout the community (forums, ts, in game) is very important in order to achieve the rank of Trial-Moderator. Becoming well known not only establishes trust between people you connect with in the community, but also creates your own unique persona that people remember you for.

Summary:

All in all Queball, I believe you have some of the traits required to become a staff member on the server. You are a mature, respectable and a friendly person who I do not expect to ever have an intent to break rules. You could improve on a couple things which are:

  • Being involved throughout the whole community in order to become well known and a trusted player
  • Trying to up your activity in-game

With these improvements, I will happily change my overall response to a +1 as I will fully believe you are ready to become a staff member on the Imperial Gaming Star Wars Roleplay Server. oh yea get a mic, it makes stuff easier.

Ling Ling sums it up perfectly and I would have to agree with the points he has stated.
I will stay Neutral for now and I wish you the best of luck.
