Have you been staff on any other servers or communities (If so state them): / No i have never been a moderator on a server before but believe this wouldn't hinder me as i am a quick learner. What do you believe is the purpose of Moderators on the server: I believe the purpose of a moderator on a server is to maintain the peas and role-play, this means at all hours as at no time is it alright for someone to feel threatened or uncomfortable at any time on imperial gaming. But at the same time not making the server feel like it is under a dictatorship by keeping a friendly accepting mood and not a strict crack of the whip feel. A moderator is a player whom wants to help the community so they try to become a moderator. Moderators are given "Tools" to help them carry out their daily duties on the server. For example a moderator is able to teleport, warn and ban people whom go against the rules of the server, these are not used to try scar people in anyway but are to enforce the rules to those who would not. Why are you applying to be a Trial Moderator: / I am applying for the trial mod position as i have always loved the server and the staff on it, and i want to be another one of those great moderators that have made this server so successful and maybe one day be the thing that keeps people loving and enjoying this great server as other admins have made me enjoy the server, i would be able to enforce the rules and make the community a better and friendlier place for people to play and enjoy. I believe i would be a good T-Mod as after getting my application denied the first time i was able to reflect and think about what i should do to be a better more responsible person which i believe i have successfully improved upon and believe that i would make a good active and responsible T-Mod and help the server to the best of my ability What do you believe you can bring to the staff team: / I believe i am a responsible person who can make every person i come in contact with enjoy the server more than they already do, I am a very active member of the community which is on normally 6+ hours per night meaning i would be able to use the moderator role to the best of its ability in the fact that i will be on a lot of the time and i believe i am a capable person who could manage potential "minges" or bullies whom plague the server. I think even though i have never been a mod from seeing other great mods doing their jobs i already know the basics that would be required for a trial mod and over my potential time in trial mod i could learn the more in depth parts of the occupation of a moderator. Scenarios Someone Mass RDM’s and disconnects from the server. What do you do?: The first thing i would do is teleport to someone whom has been killed and would then as a fist step talk to the person whom was killed and ask them a full scenario of what happened to check if they committed any more offences like racism or threatening to DDOS or any other offensive that require an extender punishment, after hearing their story and potential other broken rules i would look into the damage logs and check whom else was effected by this person or persons, after finding a few more i would ask them to tell me the full story as well and if they match up and i am able to confirm any other offences they made i would then first apologise on the servers behalf and tell them that they should never accept bullying or mass RDM at anytime and even if you feel uncomfortable contact and admin by using "@ Message, i would then proceed to find the perpetrators steam-ID and give them the appropriate punishment or send a report to someone higher if the punishment needs to be more sever than my perms allow me and would then help this higher up moderator as much as i can to make their part of the job as easy as possible. Someone is bullying another member of the community. What do you do?: (Fist thing is i believe that bullying is one of the worst offences it messes with peoples head, so i will take this case very seriously) If i where to see someone bullying another player or get an admin card that someone is bullying someone i would first teleport to the person and stay invisible for a while to see if they say anything incriminating while i am watching to give solid undeniable evidence, if the act has already been done or the person notices me i would then proceed to ask how they are both going to try psych out the person in question and then see what their answer is if anything, after this i would swiftly teleport the victim and first ask if it was typed or said if typed it makes the scenario easy as i am able to look over exactly what they said and am able to asses if it is bullying or just someone over reacting if it is the case i would try get the people to apologise to each other and would give the person whom made them feel uncomfortable a verbal warning but no written warning. If it was talking to each other through the voice chat i would teleport us to a secluded area, where no-one can hear and then ask the person to tell me the full story and remind them that if the change the story in anyway they can get in trouble themselves if i find out. After hearing the story i would ask if they had audio-graphic proof if not, ask them to in the future try record it as it gives indisputable evidence. After hearing their story i would then teleport the accused bully over to my location and tell them they have been bought here as they have made someone feel bullied and insecure, i would then ask them to confess up and tell the story from their point of view, if they refuse to talk i would then know that they most likely did it but would not have enough proof in which case i would give them verbal warnings for not participating until they either DC or confess if the DC i would then give them a two warn for "DC to avoid admin sit" and "Bullying another player". But if the person where to confess up and the stories match i would then asses the situation myself seeing if it is viable of a warn or a verbal warn, if it where viable of i warn i would warn them for "Bullying another player". But if the offence was minor i would try get the 2 of them to work it out and just give the person a verbal warning and let them go about their day. You see a higher ranking staff member abuse their powers. What do you do?: If i saw a high ranking staff member abuse their powers the fist step i would take is to start up my recording software and just watch and record them breaking the rules they are suppose to enforce, while doing this i would try record some names of people that this person effects and after i have got enough evidence i would forward it onto a person of a high enough rank to do something about it. After the superior moderator has chosen their punishment for the person i would then proceed to go to the people whom i got name and ask if they would partake in a quick interview if they refused i would look for another one of the people effected or if they do i would get them to tell me how it made them feel and what they would like done to the person whom did it whilst recording the interview, i would try get a few of these interviews and then send the recording to the person whom gave out their original punishment and ask them to watch them to get more of an idea how this person effected others and how they believe they should be punished. after all of this i would ask the superior handing out the punishment if i could help them any further if so i would do what they ask if not i would go around to the people i interviewed and thank them greatly and apologise on behave of the server for what they hat to deal with. Someone threatens to DDOS the server. what do you do?: If i catch wind of any threats to DDOS imperial gaming i would go to work without delay i would first see what actions i should take to capture the person making their threats if it is written i would take screenshots or record the chat feed to show as evidence if it where audio i would instantly get my recording software up and record what they say until they have directly threatened the server again in which case i would then ban the person as long as my perms allow me and quickly give all the evidence to an admin to take it further and do all the necessary things to stop them from coming back on and to try to change the IP if they can in which case the server would be fine or set up a blocker to stop the person from accessing the IP of the server, After all this i would ask if i could be of any more assistance and then act accordingly to their response. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Things you can and cannot do/rules: 1. You may bump your application every 7 days after the last bump/post by a user (1 week) 2. Any user may provide feedback by +1 and or -1 your application along with constructive criticism/feedback as long as it's not personally attacking the applicant or another member of the community. 3. Advertising your application in OOC, chat box, personally telling people and any sort of social media will lead to your application being denied for minimum 3 weeks. 4. Failing to answer questions can lead to your app being denied. 5. False information can lead to your application being denied. 6. Failing to meet the requirements can lead to either your app being put on hold or denied. 7. 5 or more warnings and your application will be denied immediately. 8. Must have at least 1 week on the server before applying. 9. Must have less than 2 bans to apply (Depending on the situation). 10. You may not increase the font size of the application above size 14 except the title which may be size 24. 11. Please be considerate of others when using colours in your application, all answers must be left in white. 12. Have you been staff on any other servers (If so state them): Not on any Garry's Mod servers but with that said I really want to learn how to be one. This could be a huge stepping stone for me in the community and I really want to help people out by learning from this. Why are you applying for TMOD: I want to apply for TMOD on Imperial Gaming because I feel like I can be a great asset to the community and staff team by helping out players as much as I can and at anytime. Due to being an active member of the community I can be on during the late hours of the night to help moderate the community and keep the experience for those who choose to play at those hours. I really love playing on the server and meeting new people on the daily and making new friends. What can you bring to the staff team: I can bring a friendly and active member to the staff team, as stated as above I can help people at late hours of the night to moderate the server. I have real life experience with moderating and managing a team. I am very loyal and trustworthy if someone needed me I will try my best to adhear to what they want. Scenarios: Someone Mass RDM’s and disconnects from the server. What do you?: When a Mass RDM happens I will look at the logs and find who did it. I will talk to the person/people who got Mass RDM'd I would ask if they did get randomly killed and for what reason. After this I would proceed to warn the disconnected player for having it confirmed that he intentionally did this and avoided the admin sit. Someone is bullying another player. What do you do?: I would seperate the two players and question the victim first asking what happened and why, Once I have finished with the victim with evidence I will then TP the bully into a private area so we could talk for why he has done these actions. After talking with both people and collecting evidence I would ask for them both to apologise to each other and put there differences in the past. If they don't comply with this further punishment will be considered. You see a higher up staff abuse their powers. What do you do?: If I saw a higher up abuse admin powers I would take a screenshot/video record them doing this, I would then show an Admin or SuperAdmin depending on the position they are at. If I do not have any evidence I would still tell an even higher up about what I have seen. Someone threatens to DDOS the server. what do you do?: I record my evidence then give out a warn to the person who has threatened the server, I would then tell an admin or anybody in a higher position about this and show them the evidence so the person can be kicked or banned for their actions. Such as with minges, in the case EMs need help, to assist with people trying to get tools for building and more! Mainly to assist with what ever i can help people with. This as well as i feel it would help me deal with situations in my regiment such as tryouts and adding people to my regiment. (so not having to get a admin to come and do it for me).What can you bring to the staff team: I am able to bring a good knowledge of what should happen in admin situations from my past knowledge and to be a friendly and helpful friend for the rest of the staff team helping them with any side projects they may have. What do you?: proceed Try to get the players IP and then proceed to ban for a given amount of time depending how large or give warn if it was a smaller action or a mistake such as they didn't mean to disconnect and may of crashed. Someone is bullying another player. What do you do?: Pull both player aside and talk to them. Finding what the problem is and then giving the most correct responses to the action of bullying. Such as a warn in most cases or even a ban to light amount such as 3 days.You see a higher up staff abuse their powers. What do you do?: Take screen shots of this actin or record as well as keep screen shots of the console to watch whats happening such as weapon spawning. Then move to tell a staff of higher level. ASomeone threatens to DDOS the server. what do you do?: Jail the person and await for staff of higher level to assist the situation. IF no staff is available proceeded to tell online player that a DDOS may happen. Proceeded to see if the player does and if he does do a IP ban. As well as try to get a staff to do a map change or even a full server reboot.
