I walked around for a bit and acquainted myself with a few familiar names and then came across the particular person previously noted. In what I now know as a selfish and narcissistic act, I began to ask this person if he would like to hop back onto the old server with me. He declined with a nice manner saying he had switched which I took in but decided like a stupid person to proceed and ask again a few times. This went on for about half a minute, and then I took myself away and decided to mingle with others. However when I went to others I did not ask them to join to a different server or even talk about anything server related. I saw the same person I had persisted to ask before post in the comms that he was holding tryouts for Vader's Fist (No screenshot sorry). I decided what would soon be a huge mistake but also at the time a funny joke was to send him a !p message saying "Join back to SERVER" (SERVER meaning the other one we had played on together before, do not want to mention because it adds nothing) (See picture below). I was totally out of line and overstepped my boundaries when I sent this message and I want the person reading this to know that I understand what is wrong with this and why it won't be done again in the future on any server. I was swiftly picked up and taken to a sit with Grand Moff (See below). Straight up he came to me in a friendly manner and asked if I knew what advertising was. I replied with Yes and that I had not advertised. I said this believing that advertising would be posting a link or spamming chat/voice chat with links, names, servers ect. My naive self thought that my selfish acts didn't count as advertising, which I now see totally fits in with the reason to why I was banned. Whitey told me to wait patiently whist he went and talked to the person I !p'd. In their exchange I was randomly coloured blue with a tool gun and my game froze. I have no idea who coloured me but some supporting evidence is my Private message on discord to someone I saw playing on the server before (See below). Of course watching an accused person leave when faced with allegations of such acts looks extremely guilty so I was quickly banned for Advertising and Lying to Whitey about this situation. Why do you believe you deserve to be unbanned / given a second chance: Since my last appeal I have thought about what I have done, Why I shouldn't of done it, and how I made the person I aimed my messages/chat towards. I understand the reason for the ban. I understand why acts such as this is completely not allowed and a bannable offence. Apart from being selfish/self centred, the only reason I thought this was remotely was okay was due to our previous encounters. I had not factored in his choices and preferences, and due to this overstepped and violated his personal choice. I'm inquiring about a ban update to a shorter ban or an unban and being on a behaviour type of list ( meaning if I make a mistake like getting warned or doing another bannable act I'll be banned straight away. If you have any questions or queries feel free to ask in the comment section below. Once again I apologies for my actions and have decided to take this in as a learning opportunity.
Evening All. For those who don't know me, my name's Proven. Before you roll your eyes in disgust, I would genuinely appreciate it if you would first read what I have to say: First, I'll be talking about the Course of Events that lead me to where I currently stand, and will be going into adequate depth as to why I am here today. It all started many months ago, in early March of 2017. As a relatively-new player to Garry's Mod, I was soon to discover Star Wars RP. Like many others, my journey as a Member of the Imperial Gaming Community was quite the Bumpy Road. Having not properly matured, I managed to accumulate over 28 Warnings, to which I became susceptible for my notorious reputation as being a "Minge". My journey was a complicated one. Unlike others, I wasn't banned after the first few warnings, and there was a reason for this. To my knowledge, I was a valued member of the Community, regardless of my status. I made daily commitments in an attempt to improve people's experiences whilst playing the game. As far as I'm concerned, almost all of my faults during my journey were without specific intent to harm those around me. I did what I did for the personal gain of my friends, and myself, which is something I am not proud of. Fortunately, I have now come to realise that actions have consequences. Nonetheless, actions can also be Redeemed, and that is the very reason as to why I am here today, writing this post. I won't make any excuses. I am taking full responsibility for the person I was, but I hope to shed a little light on the changes I have been successful in making in my career as a SWRP Roleplayer. The switch to the EG Community was more than a change, but a chance for a Fresh Start. I immediately took this opportunity, and slowly begun the slow, tedious ride of saving that Reputation I feared for so long. Prior to the switch to Clone Wars, I was able to reach the Rank of Master Instructor of the Shadow Guards. I was deemed as one of the Best Duelists on the server, and this was an achievement I held close to my heart. After the Switch, I was offered a position in the Republic Commandos, as Caboose's Right Hand. I took this opportunity, and stuck with him for a great many weeks. I know what some of you are thinking. You'd be surprised how many people are out there who say one thing, and do another, and I don't blame you. To preface this, I'd first like to mention the fact that I was nominated the Best Trooper on the ship as a result of a voting system on the Forums. Every player voted, and I managed to secure the reputation I no longer feared, but held on to closely. I was also able to reach the rank of CT Commander, which was agreeably an incredibly large and stressful role, as I was moulding the future of the Server at the time. If you're looking for more Evidence, I personally encourage you to ask any member of the Empire Gaming Community to verify this. In conclusion, I would like to emphasise the fact that I am not here from a position of weakness, but from a position of strength. I was a truly valued member of the Empire Gaming Community, and after the experiences, memories and friends I have made, I am certain that I have what it takes to cleanse that dreaded reputation, and bring a loving, passionate member to your Community once more. Thank you Very Much for taking the time to read this, and I hope you have a wonderful Evening. Kindest Regards, Proven I accept that my Forum Post is eligible for Public Dictation, and will gladly comply with all and any terms necessary. Your Efforts are Most Appreciated.
