    NOTE: I received permission from @Kumo to respond to this appeal. I worked very closely with Hypo during the development of both RG and FG, and I feel as though I may have a unique perspective to offer. Whilst Hypo has had a troubled past, he has completely turned his behaviour around. When we initially brought Hypo on board, I was full of concern, unwilling to trust him to even the smallest extent.   2. It's still good practice. Treasonous roleplay, particularly something on the scale suggested in this post, can be detrimental to roleplay if done incorrectly. Co-ordinating it with Management helps ensure that the situation doesn't devolve to blatant minging, or ruin the experience for others.

  6. Essentially this. We had this addon on Fade for quite some time, and whilst it was visually quite impressive, and fun to toy around with, it was near impossible to use as an actual combat system, particularly in anything other than extremely close quarters.

  9. In my experience, metagame is one of those things that a lot of people tend to do, intentionally or not. To more casual roleplayers, there may not appear to be anything immediately wrong about metagame, despite it's profound impact on roleplay. In order for it to be combatted effectively, metagame needs to be clearly addressed in its own right, with various examples provided, as well as an explanation as to why it is unacceptable. Simply telling a recruit not to FailRP, or to always RP when above X ammount of players is hardly educational, and can lead to subpar troopers and roleplayers in the
  10. Whilst it is undoubtedly a useful feature, one of the primary issues that it is very easy to be misused, particularly when escorting a cuffed prisoner through a group of individuals. People, at times, have had a tendancy to gag/blindfold the individual with little to no reason.

  18. I've had similar experiences with Wolf over the past day or two. He's been RDMing, disrespecting everyone he's met, and minging. He obviously has no intent to role play on the server. Sidenote, Hawk is not Wolf, they are separate players.

    Does it? We don't really have many civilians or diplomats on the ship, meaning the majority use case would be storm troopers. Given that you only really need to present I.D. to enter a restricted area (I.E. places regular storm troopers can't go anyway), it seems pointless. Say you're trying to enter the bridge, you can show the ID card, but all it seemingly does is confirm you're a storm trooper, not that you have access to that area. Unless you then want to say that you can role play it having other information on it, in which case, one would have to ask what the point is? After all, i
