  1. Welp, you should’ve seen this one coming. For those of you who aren’t able to read or are related to Space Mexicans, I’ll make this short as I’m going to go into a whole bunch of explanations and thanks messages to a lot of people. Still try to read through all of this properly, as I didn’t write out all this shit just for you to not read it plebs. So yeah, much like a lot of my mates on the server this time last year (and at other points throughout the year) for similar reasons, I’m leaving IG. I’ve had a lot of good times. Made lots of memes, achieved things I never thought I would be able to do in this game. I created a sub-regiment, I rebuilt one of the hardest regiments to build from the ground up, I became a General (something that was thought impossible at the time) and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting/helping/playing with some good people. But, as I kind of referenced to on a certain someone’s goodbye post around 10-12 months ago, it’s my time. Unfortunately everything must come to an end. I’ve got nothing left to prove, nothing left to achieve, and the issues I have around here have become too much. I haven’t really hid my issues with management around the joint (had to put joint in here somewhere). If you’ve been around long enough and listened to what I’ve said, you’d know what those issues are. The final nail in the coffin for me though was an event that happened recently. Not really going to get into it, as I asked some friends for advice before making this and one of them said, and I quote: “Yeah, na.” You know who you are, keep being a legend. That and me ranting/creating drama isn’t what this post is about, nor is it how I want to go out. That being said, I harbor no hard feelings towards the overall community, those who have helped me in the past and those who have nothing to do with the issues I have. I have a lot of friends here still and outside of the negativity sort of at the start of this post, I would like to leave on somewhat good terms. And you never know, I might come back once things have changed enough. I’ve had the opportunity to be accepted here after some rocky history in the SWRP community, and I won’t forget that any time soon. Jesus, all that was a little heavy… Now there’s a few people I’d like to thank and I genuinely want to thank them, as I wouldn’t be in the position I’m in on the server and I wouldn’t have had as great of a time as I’ve had without ‘em. I also sort of wouldn’t have a grown a bit as a person without them. Which for me is at least something to get out of a video game. First I’d like to thank @Whitey. I didn’t exactly (at any point) make your job easy, but I thank you for everything you’ve done around the joint. Most importantly for that chat we had after Hornet was promoted. I know this is going to sound cringey as fuck (but let’s face it, making a big post like this was cringey in the first place over a SWRP server), but that chat meant a lot. So thanks. Make sure you become Tarkin again at least one more time though, because you’re the OG. Next I’d like to thank @Chopz (we’re starting off this list by staff rank for some reason). You made life bearable as 996 commander and the short time you were Grand General was one of the highlights of my time as a General… It made the top twenty . But in all seriousness, my job got a lot easier with you around. You're also a good bloke. Next I’d like to thank Alex and Department. You guys are some of the best troopers I’ve met during my 5 years (almost) of playing this game mode and you guys were there at the hard times, helping me out when needed. - @Department you’ve always been a great bloke and a great commanding officer. You were there during the O’Hare times and came out better for it. You are, and have been for some time, the longest serving Stormtrooper. And although you were always a little cold, you’re a good bloke. Good luck with the independent chain of command. - @Alex, can’t really say too much without feeling the feels. You’ve been there since the Stormtroopers were treated like garbage, and have been around since… Even when your PC exploded, died, whatever the hell happened over 10,000 times. You might never become a general, but you’re been one hell of a trooper. Don’t forget that. Remember every lesson I taught you, as you’re going to need it moving forward. Trust me on that. After that, I have to thank @Regret. Never have I met someone who picked up the art of commanding to the degree that you did. You made a turbulent time during the life of the ST’s a lot more stable, which allowed me to focus on other regiments. You’re also a top bloke. You may never read this, as I don’t know if you check the forums, but you don’t need any more praise from me. Since I’m still thinking of names (I really should’ve written a list for this, but too late for that) I’d like to thank @Hammer, for being there as the gatekeeper of IHC HQ. You dealt with a lot of crap, heard a lot of my shit, but you never let that affect the job. I hope, for the players of the server, you can become the less controversial, less getting-people-pissed-off version of me. Or at least replace me in terms of the work I managed to do. I wish you all the best. Next I’d like thank @SCHEFF. Just for being one of those people from back in the day, becoming the cornerstone of MHC and just being a general ear to talk to. Although we didn’t start off on the best of terms, you’ve definitely become one of those people I trust. Hope you and the rest of Widow Squad continue to improve Widow Squad and do the things that I couldn’t as commander. (Fuck this is a lot of thank you’s) Next up is @Corvo, @Shader, @Acab, @Devo and @NatiionZ. You guys have sort of rebuilt a regiment, making improvements around the joint as you see problems. I hope you continue this progress, as I might be back someday and I’d like to see how you’ve done. If you let Widow Squad or the ST’s die, I’ll beat up ya nan (that was referred to all of you). Good luck. (Really have to make these quick now) Next is @Jman1308, because Jman is a lad. @Rickle, because Rickle Rick. @Moose for that chat we had, hope you make the Generals great for the first time. @Medusa for helping me become a better commander. I don’t know if she’ll ever get this, but thanks. All involved with my promotion to Major General. All involved with not getting me demoted during the brigade shit. All involved with not getting me demoted period (I’m guessing my recent demotion wasn’t the only time I’ve been up for it). Anyone who I didn’t mention who has either helped me along the way, or helped me without me knowing. All ST’s past and present. That includes Widow Squad by the way . Now for anyone who isn’t mentioned, or a part of these groups mentioned, who did something for me or we worked together. Thank you. I’m sorry that you weren’t mentioned, but I’ve been playing on this server for almost two years, I forget people all the time. Now as for what’s next? Eh, I don’t even know that. I’ve basically done everything you can in gaming at this point. Might finally finish Undertale? Lol. But in all seriousness, I plan on going back to making videos (which you can see here: https://goo.gl/5PuYvA). Link might get removed due to advertising rules (I’ve been here for almost two years and still don’t know the rules 100%), so add me on Steam at; Stevo Jenkins if you want a link if it’s not there. Haven’t done a video in a while, looking forward to do them again. To the Stormtroopers and Widow Squad If you ever need help or you’re in a shit situation with either regiment, call me and I will help. I will always be there to help you if I can, you can always count on that. Finally, that’s pretty much it from me. I don’t have any more to say and, if I do, I’ll say it some people in person. I wish this community all the best moving forward, and I hope everyone has a great Christmas. Make sure you value your time with your family, as there are people out there with none or in a bad situation. Basically what I’m saying is: go give some money to charity or some shit ya cheapskate. Adopt a child damn it! I don’t care if you’re only twelve years old. Alright, time to end this one. See ya’s later. Cheers Brigadier Stevo.
  2. Hi, hello, it's me again. Posting this because there's a position open for SCAR commander and we need some people lined up for the job. If you think you have what it takes, fill out the form (completely) and we'll see how you go. Applications close on the 15th and meetings with candidates will follow on the night of the 15th. Read the entire form, as if you can't follow the instructions or don't meeting the criteria, then your application will be denied. 4. Your thread title copies half of my usual titles... This triggers me.
  5. Hi, it's me, doing this again. Commanders meeting is being moved due to the map change and there's some important stuff that needs to be mentioned that I need to be present for. I have exams for most of tomorrow so yeah. Once again, I'm posting this here because putting it announcements is not needed. Cheers 2727 - Stevo.

    Slot Upgrage

It’s possible for the database stuff, but it wouldn’t be worth splitting up the players. The fact is that 90% of SWRP is waiting around until events happen. If you have another server where events are being held, almost everyone would go there instead of the original server. If the original server held events, all those people would leave the second server and join the original server again. It would fuck up the player base. If if you want to be on the server, join it before it’s full.

    Slot Upgrage

More slot for regiments? Possibly yes after tones of planning from both management and IHC. More server slots? Do you want the server to crash as you are joining and wait 10-30 minutes for it to come back up? If your answer is yes to those last two questions, then you're easily entertained.

    128/128 Players

It didn’t really matter whether or not the meme was bad, I was included in one of these for once. That’s good enough for me.
  9. Didn't want to put this into announcements because this one's going to be short. Due to an event being done right on the commanders meeting time (which happens every week EM's, please stop holding events at this time specifically, or wait until the meeting is done), the meeting tonight is being moved to tomorrow (Sunday) at 7pm AEST. Cheers 2727 - Stevo.

    Scout Trooper Idea

Alright, so, now it's my time to make a really long response and insult a whole bunch of people, which will then get this post deleted. It's whoever-decided-to-mention-me's fault so you can blame him. Widow Squad started out as a group to put the best of the Stormtroopers into, to give them something to make them feel special so that they wouldn't leave. The Stormtrooper Corps is one of the hardest regiments to keep people in because at the time they didn't have gear like other regiments did (and the job is one of the hardest and most important on the ship). Widow Squad originally had 10 members before it was forcibly disbanded by O'Hare, all of which became part of the ST chain of command. After it was disbanded the ST's went to shit under O'Hare and only a tiny bit better under Zach. Once I was given the ST's they were so far into shit that the only members of the ST higher-ups were Widow Squad members, three of them. I then made the decision to make Widow Squad the commanding body of the ST's out of necessity because nobody would stay in the normal ST's. After two weeks there were 8 ST higher-ups, all of which were Widow Squad, 4 of which are either still in Widow Squad or directly affiliated with the ST's. After a while of my bitching to management to give the ST's something to keep people in the regiment, Widow got classes. They were the scout classes, as the scout regiment had been dead for a while, but at least they were something. Most of us that had been with Widow for months before the classes literally cried, including one solitary tear from me (thanks for not removing the classes management btw :3 ). The problem with these classes though, was that new ST's had no idea who to follow during events, it got to the point where they started following SCAR troopers when they used PAC. So we got them changed to the model they have now. Now the reason why I bring up that little part of history is because Widow Squad was never designed to be the commanding body of the ST's (unlike what Hornet said), they were supposed to be an elite group of the best ST's. Not Scout Troopers. They were also supposed to be separate to the commanding body of the ST's. The weapons they have were supposed to help them do mission based field work, even though they are from the Scout Troopers. They are only the commanding body of the ST's because they have to be. The day we can finally get in a ST chain of command outside of Widow, they will become what they were originally - A group of elite ST's. Adding the Scout Troopers to Widow (or the ST's) would do nothing, there would be no point. I saw someone mention somewhere that maybe the Scout Trooper models should be added in the same way that we implemented Snow Trooper models. We don't even use the Snow Trooper model as it is and it's just other thing for the mingy ST's to abuse. The ST's have enough problems with the Snow Trooper model being used at the wrong time as it is. It's not needed. And before someone numpty who's related to a space mexican brings up the suggestion to add Scout Troopers as a regiment again, we have enough regiments as it is. I don't need another one to keep an eye on. Now, before someone tries to argue that adding some sort of Scout Trooper thing to the server or the ST's, just remember that I was there the 780 times that Scout Troopers died and that I have witnessed every atrocity committed towards the ST's (eg. The Tier System). Edit: We also have like 5 scouting regiments, a member in Widow who specializes in scouting/scouting stuff and they're still not needed.

    Should we bring Rishi back

The problem with Rishi is that majority of the current playerbase doesn't like it. I like it, but I was on the map when the server was different a year and a half ago. Every time since that the map has been used peeps have left the server because they don't like the map.

    Nova Skin Change

Read the first post I made on this thread and read the part where I say I have no call on a management decisions. Then rethink what you have written above. Also another thing you’re wrong about with Widow, it’s not the only choice people have in the ST’s. Something I told Widow to do about a month ago was to focus more on the ST’s and start getting some higher ups because it was an issue. First attempt to set up an ST chain of command outside of Widow ultimately failed because everyone who was in that group wanted to be in Widow, not the ST’s. We currently have four people who are SGT+ out of Widow, a few more that went inactive if you want to count them. My problem with you isn’t that you want more for your regiment, everyone wants more, but at the same time these same people usually understand that no regiment is special on the ship. Every regiment has a job, and every regiment 99.9% of the time have the tools for it (newly created regiments usually don’t have what they need). My problem is that you speak about things you have no idea about. My hours allow me to know the history of most regiments, and thus I have a lot of knowledge about them. You don’t really know much about Widow, yet you’re quick to claim facts about the regiment. It didn’t matter ultimately how you phrased it, you were still wrong. I suggest you read my first post and the ask yourself whether or not you need the models. If the answer is yes, then I think you’re wrong and that’s okay to me. This is my last post here, do what you want afterwards as this thread will be muted for me. I’ve said all I felt I needed to say.

    Nova Skin Change

It's not a "these damn millennial's" moment, hence why I think you ignored my argument entirely and went for the widow stuff and this. You don't need the model change. What is it going to do for the regiment? Make you look more sparkly? Does the regiment not already have pauldrons to signify rank? Those are the the points I brought up in my post. Mentioning Widow Squad and then saying you're not responding any further highlights exactly why this is a vanity thing. And whilst we're at it (I'll entertain your lack of knowledge and stupidity here), Widow Squad was and still is needed. I don't expect you to understand since you've been on the server for five minutes compared to my almost two years, but a long time ago it was near impossible to keep anyone in the ST's, not to mention that the ST's were treated like shit and couldn't maintain a command structure for more than three seconds. The regiment has retained many people over LCPL and only about five people have been recruited over the past three months, all of which have been retained except one. I know about the numbers, I keep track as part of my constant note taking that's done on all regiments. And even if the regiment couldn't retain numbers as you say, that's pretty much every regiment at some point. It's going to happen to your regiment at some point most likely. Probably best not to comment on it negatively now. But once again, you know exactly you've brought up the arguments you've made, you brought them up to distract from the fact that you don't need them. It is a vanity thing and it is something you don't need.

    IMPERIAL AWARDS - CLOSED AUGUST

    Nova Skin Change

Alright, so I'm going to sort this out right here, right now. People keep thinking that I have a say when it comes to management decisions like loadouts and what jobs a regiment can be changed to and if a regiment can have their security level changed and whatnot. Well, sorry to disappoint you all, I don't have a say in any of that. Sure I'm in a position on the server that very few people who aren't staff have had, but I'm not a staff member and I don't have a say in any decision that is made (outside of my inclusion in the focus group earlier this year). So I'm going to use this post here to explain this to everyone who keeps asking me for shit, I can't help you and don't ask for me to "get behind stuff" as there is nothing I can do that will convince anyone to do anything in the staff team. I guess I could complain a lot like I did back in my Widow Squad days, but I've done that so much that people can see through it. Now regardless of my point above, I don't think the Nova troopers should have their models changed. It's not going to help the regiment in any way except confuse a whole bunch of people, it's not going to get people to join the regiment, it's not going to get people to stay in the regiment and I think the fact that the acting commander hasn't made this post speaks volumes - this is a vanity thing. Although I know this next point is going to trigger someones PTSD because I've mentioned it so many times, but I spent my early days in the Storm troopers. Those of us that stayed in the ST's stayed because we liked a part of the regiment in a time where ST's were treated like garbage and Widow Squad didn't exist. We had basic shit and we made the most of it. Nova, even in the state that it is now, is in a better spot than the ST's of old were. I think that unless the regiment is in as hot of waters as that period of the ST's you don't need anything added. As I mentioned this seems like purely a vanity thing that doesn't do anything to the regiment, and I don't think the regiment needs it either. And if a regiment doesn't need something, they shouldn't have it added.

    Revive Shadow

You can do whatever you want. No one is stopping you from doing anything except revive Shadow or any other regiment. SCAR has it's own issues which I will address now that Gatsby has told me what I need to know, but that's not your problem, nor do you need to know how I'm going to deal with it. Here's some responses to your other points: - Got no idea what this inactivity 14 day rule is, tell me the regiment and I might be able to do something about it. - When you leave a regiment to join another, it's up to the commander on whether or not you get demoted. If a commander needs a SGT to bring experience into the regiment, I don't really mind if they recruit a SGT. That being said, you can't have too many of one rank in your regiment in the higher ranks. Only Shock/Riot and the ST's can get away with that, but that's because they both have sub-regiments. - The three day rule is put in place to stop reg-jumping. Choose what regiment you want wisely, because you stuck there for three days, even if you join the ISB/Government/Navy. But once again phrased differently, I don't care what you do, that's up to you. My job is to just make sure that the army is helping anyone who needs and getting the army running smoothly, and at the moment it mostly is, there's just a few problems that need to be patched up. If you want to wait until Shadow gets revived, that's fine. Outside of that, what you do is up to you.
  19. Stevo.

    Heidy-Ho there!

Welcome Just make sure not to book a meeting with me to ask me to give you permission to leave the storm troopers and we should get along fine.

    Revive Shadow

Look, there's no problem with Shadow, the regiment is a perfectly fine regiment. There have been many regiments that have had highs and lows, that have been the best and been the worst. 442nd is a good example. This time last year the regiment was one of the best in regards to activity and ability, now it's not so good. Here's the reason why we currently have regiments, like Shadow, that don't do well: 1. Lack of competent commander candidates This is the number one problem with regiments currently. Sure, everyone wants that coveted commander position, but 1 out of 20 people can actually stay in the position for a reasonably long time and less can be good commanders that can revive/actually run regiments. The reason why numpties get put in charge of the regiments and then the regiments die again is because people get put in charge that can't handle the role and IHC has to focus on more important regiments like Shock and the ST's. We have around 24 regiments (including sub regiments) to take care of and things slide through the cracks a lot because of how much ground we need to cover with the small group we have (sometimes we have many men out at a time like me). 2. Sheep culture This is a problem that is bigger than the server, but unfortunately most people are like sheep - they follow the majority. Humans are always in packs, it's part of our biology and it's effects our opinions. If some stupid guy who's new to the server and hasn't been around for as long as someone like myself, they'll say that Shadow or 442nd is a bad regiment because it keeps dying. Stupid guy 2 then listens to the original stupid guy and believes what he says and then avoids Shadow because he now thinks it's a bad regiment. Now from experience, no regiment is inherently bad, it's all about the commanders and how they run things, but stupid people who think they know everything don't understand that and tarnish the reputation of regiments. 3. Very little people can give a stuff to revive regiments once they have them This kind of covers similar grounds to my first point, but majority of people do not know how to revive a regiment/don't care enough to do so. Reviving a regiment is 10 times harder than it's made out to be if you want quality over quantity and quality always leads to longevity. The problem is most people don't understand that or think that reviving a regiment is hopeless. This is pretty much reflected by the amount of veterans on the server who have revived regiments. I can probably count members of the server who have pulled off a revive on one hand, and we can't move most of them into other regiments because most of us are in high ranking positions where we can do more good from. So when you have no competent candidates, the regiment in question is being dragged in the mud and nobody cares enough to revive the damn thing, you're kind of stuffed into a corner. This is the position that Shadow is in. Whilst I've been busting my hump at work/helping the ST's without being on the server though, I have devised a plan to combat these points. I might be back sooner than I thought and once I'm briefed on what's going on once I have returned, fixing these regiments is on the top of the to do list.
  21. Hi all Going to make this quick because I’m typing this on a phone with one hand and I hate using a phone to type. You probably have noticed that I haven’t been on for a couple of days, and that’s because in that time I got promoted at work. Normally people would be happy about something like this, but the dickhead who had my position before me left a whole bunch of shit to clean up. As as a result of that, I need to take a break for a couple of weeks to get shit sorted. I will be back at around the 23rd of August, unless I die, which in that case I leave all of you nothing. And don’t worry if you’re subbed to the YouTube channel, I luckily pre recorded videos for the next month. Cheers Stevo.

    New Arrest Policy

They don’t need to tell the recruits? This isn’t a training thing...
  23. Alright, pretty much like the last time, put in your name, rank, regiment, what regiment you want to apply for, answer the questions and submit. The current regiments up for commander-ship are VF, 442nd, SCAR and Jump troopers. Make sure you read the paragraph at the top, and read everything else, if the instructions are not followed you will be disqualified from eligibility. Also only apply if you want to become a commander of a regiment. Applying then messaging a general saying you don't want it anymore may cause you to be blacklisted from future commander applications. If it is deemed that no applicant meets the criteria, then another round of applications will be sent out. Applications close at 6pm AEST on July the 14th. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIRgwM0VD6yqqXhSaGgi5JALXkkzCw-mnjgi0P5QPLaDDoGA/viewform Cheers Stevo.
