Today what was 105 years ago, Australian and New Zealand forces landed at Gallipoli. These troops would come to be known as the ANZAC (Australian New Zealand Army Corps). When these troops landed they where barraged by Turkish artillery and machine guns, it was a slaughter although Australian and New Zealand forces pushed through and secured the beach which is now known as ANZAC Cove. Today on this day the 25th of April 2020 we remember the soldiers from ALL wars who fought and died in the name for Australia and New Zealand, to keep us safe. But we also remember all the soldiers who returned from these places of hell who came back injured or scared both mentally and physically. I ask from all of you in the community that if you know a Veteran that you give them a call and see how they are doing i can say from first hand experience that this goes a long way. I also ask that you if you have not have a minute silence to commemorate Soldiers from all wars Australia has been involved in from WW1 to WW2 to Korea and Vietnam, to East Timor, Solomon Islands, Iraq and Afghanistan. "They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them" Lest We Forget.

I like to leave this extract every time ANZAC Day comes around. It's attributed to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey. Under the Ottoman Empire he was the Colonel tasked with repelling the Allied invasion force from Gallipoli. It goes: "Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives ... You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours ... You, the mothers who sent their sons from faraway countries, wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well." - Atatürk Turkish Commander Mustafa Kemal, later given the name "Atatürk" during presidency = "Father of the Turks" ANZAC Troops at Gallipoli after having returned from Lemnos. For those that wish to learn more about the Gallipoli Campaign I'd suggest this video, it summarises important details but it's still very informative for a 4 minute video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qW8O_sisf4I Alternatively, this is longer however more detailed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeAPkEl8hHg Lest We Forget.

Setting up quests for players that revolve around events is a rather hard thing to tackle due to the fully dynamic nature on how events work on the server. We event masters aren't AI and cannot make events run 100% smoothly and perfect like events or random encounters in other video games. Personally I do not like the quests that reward players by getting Non-Player Character and Event Character kills. They create unnecessary difficulties and result in things to be incredibly unnatural; for instance if I wanted to execute an Imperial event character on the spot, I wouldn't be able to confidently do that as some may see it as hogging an EC kill. However, if there was no quest for getting EC kills, I would be able to freely execute an event character without needing to worry. NPCs are also an issue, if I want to run a small mini-RP situation for around 5 people where I send them to a location offship, I won't be able to spawn any NPCs due to the fact it may seem like NPC farming. However, if NPC kills was not a quest, I would be able to freely provide that RP without needing to worry about NPC kill farming. Giving players an incentive to actually get a kill instead of doing their duty is very bad. It creates discord and results in players not wishing to RP fully and do what they should be doing, but instead wanting to rush event characters in order to get a kill. I have seen troopers run off from their battlestations on countless of occasions. Troopers should stay at their battlestations and not merely focus on getting kills. The quest to get EC kills turns everyone into a bloodthirsty warmonger who wishes to kill everything and it breaks RP so much. There are so many issues in regards to these quests that have actively prevented me from acting out in RP. There are many times I wish to one-tap an event character with my blaster but am prevented due to the possibility of being told of for abusing and farming event character kills. There has been so many occasions during which I am unable to provide actual combat during small PassiveRP missions for specific people due to the probability of NPC farming. The removal of these quests would provide such a wider avenue for RP and give event masters a larger roster of utility to use to provide RP for the server and its players. The best bet is to have a quest that counts how long you've been an EC. The only issue that may arise is the fact that Event Masters sit in the Event Character job when doing events. It may, however, be argued that them doing the event is enough for them to be rewarded with the quest. I do not agree with a quest that counts how many kills you get as an event character. Many EMs do mini-boss or boss character archetypes for our events. It usually involves us running around with a special model with a high amount of HP and some powerful gun and a gimmick, and trust me, it nets you a lot of kills. A lot of people can agree with me that when being an event character, it is incredibly easy to actually get a kill. This quest should not be a thing. The idea of a quest to earn placings. I believe that this sort of quest has already existed in the past but got removed due to obvious reasons that certain regiments are unable to get placed. There is also an additional issue that there is no ascertained way for us event masters to actually determine placings. Sure, we can keep our eyes open and look at who does good during events, but we are not AI and do not have the ability to calculate who did the best during an event. There's my short passionate essay about the EC kill and NPC kill quest.

Steam Details Steam Name: Zovio Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:199867275 Steam Profile link: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Zovio/ In Game Details In Game Name: Unknown (probably Zovio) In Game Rank: Unknown In Game Regiment: Unknown Ban Details How long was the ban for: Permanent Which staff member banned you: Little (Past Darth Vader) What date did the ban occur: October 9th, 2017 - 2 Years, 6 Months and 20 days ago to this date. What was the reason for the ban: Community Ban Explain the situation in detail which led to you being banned: I was banned for quite a few things within the community, this includes but is not limited to minging and breaking most RP rules and being very toxic as any 11-12 year old would be. After I was banned, I was upped to a community ban after attempting to blackmail some community members as you can see attached. - https://imgur.com/gallery/zVKMkeM *LAST BAN APPEAL WAS POSTED OCTOBER 7, 2018* Why do you believe you deserve to be unbanned / given a second chance: As a fore warning, I was given permission by Wolf and Kumo verbally to upload this ban appeal. We have talked about the situation and I believe I cannot change the past, but I can change the future. Although I caused the old community quite an amount of annoyance, I think I should get given another chance to play on IG. I was very young at the time of the ban (and at the time of my failed appeal), which had proved quite an amount of immaturity. It is now quite a few years later, and I think I have learnt a lot in these years. I have learned to be mature about situations and not be vindictive or rude after I don't get my way. I have also learned to be behave myself while role playing on server as I have recently returned to Garry's Mod after quite a lot of inactivity. I am also aware that I was known to be quite hot headed in situations, but since my IG days, I have changed and I am now quite calm and kickback, I know how to deal with situations without making a fool of myself. I wish to rejoin the community as there are lots of good memories and people associated with the Imperial Gaming name but I'm going to keep this short because actions speak louder than words and I wish to prove myself if I am accepted for an unban. Thanks for taking time to read this. I hope to hear back from the staff team -Zovio
