- Karl Rommel -
Karl Rommel was born on the planet of Buarilia in the year of 55 BBY. His father had
been a high ranking officer in the army of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. His mother
was killed in an explosion that was caused by a republic spy. The planet had not changed its
governmental ideology in many centuries. The Monarchist Dictatorship had been loyal to the
republic until taxes were raised in order to fight the separatist alliance. When the droid armies were
shut down in 19 BBY the planet surrendered completely to the new Imperial Republic. To avoid
future conflicts Emperor Palpatine agreed to allow the planet's independence so long as it would
remain loyal. This included a small fleet in orbit, usual mineral deposits and low taxes that would
be given the the empire. With it's semi-independence the planet still was under imperial
occupation, all be it very light. Karl Romme's cousin, Robert Rommel had been a separatist foot-
soldier during the Galactic Civil War, this allowed for him to be respected in the planetary society
and was the driving factory to anoint him chief of the planetary militia, a private army owned by the king.
After graduating from the Imperial Academy with questionable results, Rommel was conscripted into
the 442nd Siege Battalion, he was placed inside of Brigadier Volt's private unit. Over the next 5
years he had achieved the rank of corporal and was recognised as a key member of the recruit
spectrum. In 25 BBY the 442nd was undergoing transfer to become an attack regiment and no
longer a siege one. Nearly all of the high ranking officers opted to switch into already existing
regiments in order to keep their power in the new hierarchy. This left Corporal Rommel to become
the temporary second in command of the regiment. When Brigadier Volt was killed in the battle of
Third Battle of Geonosis, Rommel was given power over the regiment. While this position should have held
power, he had little say in choices of the ship and was usually the only member of the regiment in combat during battles.
After 2 years of "leading "the 442nd, Rommel joined the Imperial Security Bureau Academy. Whilst
he had failed his classes in combat, due to his nature to throw himself at the enemy as he was
trained to be cannon fodder. He excelled at picking up patterns and snuffing out those whose
loyalty was not towards the empire. In 10 BBY Rommel was assigned to the ISD Vanquisher
under the command of Bureau Chief Lincoln. Following the directory of ISB Agent Proctor, Rommel
was entrusted with the role of "Internal Affairs". In his time as a member of the division, Rommel
had been involved in the execution of multiple soldiers who had spoken against the empire and
those who sought to bring it down. He had been been ordered to interrogate a rebel spy, however
before he could gather any information from him, an electrical outage short circuited the machines and he was killed. This lead Rommel to believe that foul play was
involved although he kept it to himself. Rommel went against the repulsion of the ISB, instead of
confining himself to an office watching holotapes or reading in his spare time, Rommel socialised
with the crew and soldiers aboard the star destroyer. Rommel built a strong relationship with the
Shock Sargent [REDACTED] and proposed a program to stop any foul play in the future, this
program was know as the informant initiative. After seeking permission to run the program from
Bureau Chief Lincoln and Special Agent Procter, Rommel went about recruiting member for the
program. Within a year he had members in shock, Vector, 212th, navy, IHC and GOV. However
during that time Lincoln had been redirected to Kamino and Proctor had commented suicide.
With Proctor's death the program had been put to a halt and members were told the initiative was
over. However with the help of the Shock Sargent [REDACTED] who took the name of Agent 3636,
the program was still active, albeit very small.
When Director Krennic arrived on the ISD, Rommel believed it would be beneficial to "kick-start"
the program as to keep the director safe. Agent 3636 recruited a 996th Staff Sargent by the name
of [REDACTED] in order to get information of what went behind IHC doors. Instead of keeping the
program off the books Rommel used civilian communicators to send information to the agents.
After recruiting a Shock private Grand Moff Tarkin was made aware of the program and told that it
was being used to undermine the empire. Tarkin then ordered the arrest of Senior Agent Rommel
and he was taken to [REDACTED] for Re-Education. On 4 BBY Rommel received his trial for the
suspicion of treason. His "Justice's"; wereGrand Moff Tarkin, who ran the trial, General Veers and the
Emperor. Whilst Rommel admitted to running the program he stated that he had received
permission for it from the Bureau Chief, it would take weeks to validate the statement as Lincoln
was off-ship. Rommel argued that the program was being used to keep the ship safer and to catch
treasonous activities from commanders whose soldiers were too afraid to report, Veers believed
the the program was being used to gain imperial secrets and the undermine the imperial hierarchy.
Rommel was sentenced to an immediate execution, and was killed in 4 BBY by Director Krennic.
When the ISB investigated the program afterwards they first found nothing that linked Rommel to
attempted treason besides recruiting the 996th. However after deeper investigation it was found
that Rommel had planned to use the program to find those who supported the separatist cause
and to recruit them into his cousin's militia. Upon hearing of his cousin's execution, Robert
Rommel stole an Imperial Class Star Destroyer that was docked in orbit, with the help of his 800k strong militia and
disappeared into the unknown regions, vowing to bring havoc to those who caused his cousins
It is unknown where Robert Rommel or the ISD or it's crew are located is located.
-If I am wrong about Proctor's death please tell me as I was told his character killed himself.
